~The Daily Grind~ 2/2/10

Advil and extra glass of soda are kicking in. Still considering the nap after I get the boys from the bus. No sports tonight. :cool1:

I'm having advil and soda too!

Chicken cookin in the oven...

DH was a grump all morning, but came thru his procedure fine. DR didn't even come in to talk to us, he left the building. DH had to call the office and have him call back to get a post op update. I think that's rather strange, and I wasn't too happy about it. Last time, this same doc was leaving the room by the time they brought me back to see DH after. He says to me "He knows everything, he'll fill you in" and left. Niccceee....:headache:

BUT, the nice anesthesia doc gave DH some good stuff for his terrible headache, so he was H.A.P.P.Y when we went home :lmao:

We can be the "Advil Triplets!"

Primary care doc took me off the nasty prescription meds today and said to just use Advil for awhile and see how my headaches are. He'll talk to the neurologist to tell her I couldn't take the side effects of the other meds anymore.

Made it through the busy day - DSs teacher just left - our last appointment of the day! Maybe start scrappin a bit - gonna make some pages for a friend's son who just turned 15.

Chicken and dumplings are on - and I can chill a bit now...!

Chic-fil-a for dinner. :thumbsup2

Uhm, my dogs still smell. Okay, just the boy dog. I think he is the one who tangled with the skunk and she just got the after spray.

They look better and are super soft and white, but wow, the smell still smacked me in the face when I walked in the house. Maybe I'll have to go get tomato juice for the around the eyes area and have a black and pink dog.

Our skunked dog smelled (as did the house) for about a week. The dog got daily baths during that time, and boy, when he got wet, the odor really intensified! But, gradually, it went away. Now that yours have had their first (few) bath(s), you should be ahead of the curve. Good luck and thinking of you...!

Poor Puppies!

Poor AWM and fam! I feel for you guys!

:grouphug:

Thanks you all. I know it is nothing major in the grand scheme of things. But it still feels nice knowing you guys care. :flower3:

We live on a really busy street and in the summer there are lots of skunks killed in the street. The smell is like a slap in the face. I feel for you.

I had loads of Sophie time! She's so precious. I could hold her for hours.

Hi Everyone!
I hope all the headaches and aches and pains are doing better!
Being a city gal we really didnt have skunks down here but lots of them up north. Grew up knowing the smell and had a friends dog get sprayed once.
I feel for you AWM and the dogs!
:cool1:No Cookie sales this year!:cool1: (no troop to speak of) it was nice buying them guilt free from others!

Just a little update: We are out of the woods with Michelle but still in a glenn!
She was supposed to have surgery today to close her leg but after 90 minutes they still could not find an artillary line/vein, something?
so tomorrow they are putting something in surgically and Thursday she should have surgery for her leg.
She was on some uber miracle antibiotic which cost 900 perbag and at last count she had had12 bags!
Someone had said that our Disboard had miracle prayers and when I told her about the Dissers praying for her she replied that we must have some kind of power!
Thank you again for all of your prayers and support!
I am truly blessed by all of you!
Rita

Glad to hear the news, Rita, I've been thinking about you. Thank goodness for insurance, right?!

When I had Banana she was a preemie and bills were all covered. DH was curious to know how much this little bundle cost us, 64,ooo!
Her DH and my DH both work for the same college district. Yes, thank God for insurance. Hopefully they will be as lucky as us and most if not all be covered.
We figured she's in the hospittal for at least 2 more weeks and then rehab before she goes home.

AR- That's so much for the update! So glad she is doing better!

:grouphug: I agree, that P&PD is some powerful stuff!!

Hope she continues to improve and they can repair what's left to do tomorrow!

AR- I am so glad to hear things are getting better for Chelle! That is fantastic!

Rebecca

Rita so glad to hear your BFF is doing so much better! Prayers continue to be sent!

Rita, I'm so happy to hear that Chelle is doing so well. I'll continue keeping her in my prayers as she continues to recover.
