So glad for the time change!! I have felt much more rested these past 2 days!! I have been much more productive too..
I'm going to try to get my house back in order from the weekend's re-do of electrical wiring.. We are so blessed our house never burnt down... The fool that previously did the work.. was evidently not licensed to do so. Of course most of the issues were hidden in the walls where the inspector wouldn't find it...


So, today:

I have a 2 page notebook paper list.. some of it is detailed things that need to be done....

DH up and moving: working from home today
boys up and moving
load and run dishwasher
DH to take boys to school
send money and jar of gravy in w/ DS12 for upcoming feast
work on notebook paper list
cut more of project out
scour ads for coupons and sales for Friday
pick up boys
homework/snack
prep dinner
changed "baby girl" diaper tricycle to "baby boy"
inventory frozen food/canned goods
read over menu planning link BFF sent me on pinterest

Thanks ladies - I'll try to keep it breif.. so my son has played hockey since he was 4 (he is now 16) and of course it's more competive now in HS.. the issue is we need to have my family xmas the weekend of 12/14-12/16 as my mom is having hip surgery on 12/19 and there is HS hockey game scheduled for 4:30 pm on 12/15.. My parents live 2 hrs away from the arena and I told DS last week if there was hockey he'd be misisng it and OMG you'd think between him and my EX it's the end of the world as EX is the HS hockey coach!!!.. Now I have planned every other stinking holiday and my whole life around hockey for DS whole life and I ask for this one thing and it's world war 3!!!! my EX even had the guts to say that other families plan their holidays around hockey and that he has had to miss xmas with his wifes family ------ um that is not your blood family!!!!!! I have missed numerous of Chris's family events due to hockey I mean I just missed Chris's mothers Birthday to go to hockey HELLO!!!!! OMG.. ok well anyway I am telling DS tonight that if he really feels that hockey is more important then attending family christmas he can call my mom himself and tell her. I am just soo fusterated.. I asked the EX to back me up on this and this is how it all came about.. Thanks for letting me blow off steam..

Glad the house rewiring is done, Nancy. Would that have anything to your restful sleep? Maybe you're more relaxed knowing it's done right.

I'm at work. Stopped at Dollar Tree for more tumblers, but they didn't have any. Looks like I'm going to have to order online.

Tonight is chicken tacos. DH will take M to dance and go back and get her when it's done. I may start sorting/photographing cards. My list for tomorrow is growing and growing, so I may try to get a little done tonight.

Morning,

I am sick as can be today- I have a cold with a fever and I am scheduled to fly out on Wednesday for our New England trip so I am just going to work on resting and getting better before I leave and sometime in here I need to do some packing.

I can't wait until tomorrow is over. I have already had 3 phone calls this morning about voting and yesterday I got more than 5- I stopped counting them. I was feeling sick so I watched football all day and think I saw 4-5 commercials that weren't political (some of them were played a few times).

Feel better, Rebecca. I'm with you on the phone calls. I got about 15 this weekend. I'm so done with this election, can't wait for it to be over so I can go back to getting no phone calls (and mail, we get at least 3 flyers in each day's mail)!

Had a sunny and beautiful weekend here, temps in the 70's, was just gorgeous! Homestead Air Base had an air show this weekend - got to watch the Thunderbirds perform from the back yard both days and got some decent photos/video too - it was awesome!

pack for WDW Girlie trip - leaving Wednesday!
prepare 5 meals for DH, poor guy is working 13 hour shifts, 6 days a week starting today for up rate power outage at plant.

Jennifer, I was looking into that yesterday afternoon after I ran out of tape. I am just unsure about the hugeness of the ATG after using a CM tape runner for so long. I am still contemplating asking for one for Christmas.

Reddy, the white stuff is a fact of life around here, you get used to it. We usually have had a couple inches by now. Besides if it gets bad, I stay home! At least it was only flurries and is not a storm.

then will head to get DS contacts (which I forgot yesterday)
then home to make supper - Sheppard's Pie and bread
then will clean up and wait to DS to call me to pick him up from Driver's ed.
then off to BED. I love the time change in a way - but really hate its so dark out at 5ish!

I hear we have another storm heading this way - Come on people are still cleaning from the past one Oh boy

Michelle, sorry you are dealing with things.. Just smile and remember there is a reason he is your EX! Also, holding DS accountable for his decision is a good idea. .we have schedule holidays around sporting events since my DsS21 was 4... so we have been doing it forever.. it's second nature now..and our families know 95% of the time we won't be there or will be late to family events...

Jennifer, hadn't thought about it, but you may have something there with my more restful nights. Although DH just did fine a live wire that is just hanging there.. good thing they are come back tonight to finish the last few things off... I think the live wire goes to my DS12's thermostat in his room..

Rachal, nice making her ride the early bus... even if it is only one day.. Good luck with your list today.

Rebecca, I hope you feel better soon!!! We haven't had any voter phone calls but we changed our number a few years ago and didn't make our new one public. I am sick of the commericals though.. there is one guy running in our state that I just can do without on any given level.. he just looks crooked!

Where are you staying in New England? When will you be going home?

I fly to Boston on Wednesday. On Thursday morning we head down to Northford or North Haven for dad's service. We will be staying overnight in that area. On Friday we will head over to New London and be at the Coast Guard Academy on Friday night. Saturday morning we head back to Boston for our nephew's birthday party and then we haven't sorted out our plans for the rest of the weekend but we will be in Boston. We leave to head home on Tuesday morning. In CT I know I could meet up with people on Thursday evening or anytime before 3pm on Friday in the general vicinities I will be located in. In Boston I could meet up with people on Sunday or Monday as I don't have any plans set yet on those days. I thought about checking if anyone wanted to meet up but then Sandy hit, I had a retreat, and then got sick.

Okay, my day is shot. I have spent the morning dealing with phone calls, emails and paperwork. But at least it is done. I have updated my November calendar with all appointments and meetings. Dinner plans have been changed as Josh's girlfriends is joining us and does not eat read meat. We are having pumpkin pancakes instead.
