The Daily Grind ~ 11/10/11

Mornin'!!! Hope all is well for everyone.. Prayers and Pixie Dust to those in need.. Remember to take a moment and tell those who you love just that and be thankful for all we have!!

Been up and movin' this AM. Here is what is left to do:

kids up and off to skl. (finals for big kids)
await return email from guidance counselor after changes to DD's schedule that we did NOT ask for (not gonna happen)
sweep and mop kitchen/dining room floors
cut 4 embellishments that I had forgotten
cut DHS letter groups M - P
scrapbook 14 pages (goal for today)
design titles in CDS
pick up DS11 and get homework if any done
dinner early because of program
5:15pm get everyone home ready for program
await DS15's call that practice is over
6:15pm leave for DS11's program
dinner for those who have not eaten
enjoy evening with family (no school Friday!!)

7 Days!

One week from right now, we'll be on the plane! It feels real now, we told Morgan last night. I don't think she believed us at first.

I'm doing my mom's laundry today. She had surgery on her wrist on Monday (wasn't healing well), and is at my sister's recovering.

We have a girl scout field trip tonight at Michael's! Did you know they do free field trips? It's a self-led scavenger hunt with a craft at the end. Should be fun.

PN - hope you get that email (& it says what you want it too) enjoy all of the night things & hope you get to sleep in in the morning - why is there no school?? is there a Holiday that I"m missing??

Both girls are at school today
DH is working from home today and has tomorrow off!

Found flights and the hotel price for NYC yesterday, we're staying an extra night so Sarah can explore the city, most of her time will be spent in rehearsal until after the Carnegie Hall performance. So the extra day and a half will be her 18th birthday gift

Today's list:

Post office
Cut paper doll parts
Cut letters for character and DHS swaps
Lunch with DH
Hobby Lobby for half price paper
Dinner????

Reddy, it is Veteran's Day but it is the end of our school grading tri-mester so we have Friday off. Our state did away with 1/2 days of school for teacher inservice/training so instead of rushing right into a new tri-mester/grading period... the kids get the Friday after finals off and the teacher's have an extra day to get grades in and do their training.

Evidently internet server at HS is done per PJ. So, it may be yet today/tomorrow before I get answers..but I know for sure she is not taking one of the classes and that is end of story. She has enough credits to graduate now..(missing 2 required courses by state so she is taking classes that will help her test out of college classes in June).

bank to deposit $ for Josh to come home for the wedding on Saturday.
wash and remake Josh's bed before he comes home tomorrow.
Rehersal dinner for wedding. My brother has asked me to do a reading.
DH to pick Julia up from school after Drama.
Dinner for them is pizza, I know he can handle that!
Home to crash in bed.

Happy Thursday evening!!
AS with others, we have no school either.

To all those with veteran's in their families, a huge thank you for all the sacrifices you made to keep our country a free one!!!

Next week, I begin working half-time. Title 1 funds will pay me now. Seems easier to me, being retired, to have the extra free time. Will have 2 of my present 7th grade classes, the third class will now be taught by another ELA teacher.
