Working today. It's rainy and gross, and that's how I feel. Bah, I hate rainy days!

PrincessM is off. I thought we'd have a major fight this morning, she's such a diva about her clothes lately! Thankfully, it all worked out and she left in an okay mood.

She has chorus this afternoon, so DH will pick her up and go to KMart to see if they have cheap white ked-like sneakers for her costume, she also needs a white turtleneck of some sort. She's going as a Twister game, so he's going to paint the shirt and the shoes with polka dots.

Then it's homework duty, dinner, dishes, cut out some cup cozies?, bed.

We're having American Chop Suey for dinner tonight, but I really want ribs now.

Take Little Bit to school. Not that he wants to go.

Get to bank to cash checks.
Pharmacy for new allergy meds - way late on this.
Get snacks for tomorrows Fall Party at school.
Come home and get kiddos out the door for allergy shots. Didn't do it yesterday, Little Bit was still at 99 and I didn't want to risk it.
Find time to pack up clothes. Taking boys to ILs this weekend. No school Friday, taking off after school on Thursday.

Hi, all! Rainy here this a.m. - but warm-ish...

Today:
Get kids up and out (and DH got Z2H to the airport - she got to her conference just fine and is already having fun!)
Back to bed for a bit? (Slept lousy last night - kept waking up - argh. - got two more hours in and feel much better!)
Try to clean scrap desks off and re-arrange shelves - didn't get to that yesterday (in progress now, but after three hours, I quit for the day...I simply cannot buy any more paper for awhile!!!)
Wax eyebrows - they're looking scary! (Done - no longer sporting the Chewbacca look! )
Walk dog if rain stops. (Still raining - settled for endless game of fetch indoors)
Weekly call from DS's sped teacher - make updated list of concerns
Homework supervision
Costume making - almost done, I hope (skip - add this to tomorrow's list!)
Dinner - baked boneless chicken breasts with French's fried onions crumb crust & rice and veggies
First night of weekly waltz class with DH! (Our 24th anniversary gift to each other!) Thank heavens I'm less dizzy in the past few days thanks to the meds!!!
Meds and bed (ok - maybe with the World Series on the tv for a little while...!)

House - Day 12 ...no list!

We have 3 in of white stuff and counting. 8-14" expected.

So DH took the car to the park & ride in case he has to leave work early, and there are more bus options to the P&R. But no going over to the house today or tomorrow. So I am on a forced break. Although, there are still things to pack at the apartment...mostly clothes and kitchen stuff. But I don't have any boxes, so it will be interesting figuring out how to pack what is left.

Appliances were delivered yesterday. Our plan to start sleeping at the house on Friday got postponed because Comcast can't come out to do the cable until Monday and DH can't live a weekend without internet.

That oughta do it for today. Yesterday was a LOOOONNNNGGG day so staying home with little one today. She has a yucky runny nose and I have a kinda sore throat. Welcome winter! Clear here but cold. Well cold for CA - we are wimpy here. Its only in the 60s here today.

So right before I leave for work DS17 says "Mom, look down my throat"...yeah, that never bodes well... Swollen, red, not strep, go to school...

Come home from work... "Mom, look down my throat"... More red, more swollen, feels a bit warm...OK, take some advil, and a nap...

Wonder what later will bring

As I posted on yesterday's thread, the boss was in a better mood today, and I was across the room, so it was a much better day today at work! Even if he did call me "Trouble" ...whatever

Holly- your mom was so right! Haven't you found that to be true, what goes around comes around? We have at our house so many times! I always tell the kids to put out good karma, it gives you points in the universe, and good things come back to you. Bad karma, bad things.

So, DH took out something for dinner, and it's going to be gross. DS21 and I were trying to come up with a plan to not hurt the DH's feelings, but not eat the dinner and have a cheesesteaks later

Oh, I got a cup cozy made. Actually 2, but the first one didn't come out great, I tossed it. I need to get some buttons tomorrow, and I'll finish up some more. Found out BIL wants to come fix my ceiling tomorrow, so I'll be staying home for the day. Which is fine, I have plenty to do around here, but I'm not cleaning until he's done.

How do you get your DHs to clean!!?

I feel your pain, Tinkryansmon. Everynight before I go to bed, I make sure the kitchen is clean, all dishes washed or put in the dishwasher. Every morning? I go into the kitchen, the counters are dirty and dishes are in the sink. I look at it as the price I pay for him making lunches everyday.

My to do list today:

Empty dishwasher
put wood into the woodstove
write in DD's communication book
get DD up and ready for school
caffeinate
work
balance checkbook
place a pampered chef order to benefit friend's party
go to pharmacy to pick up prescriptions - one not ready
bath and bed

The Piglet flu has hit our office too. When my colleague called in this morning, I promptly lysoled the door knobs, her phone, keyboard, and kitchen area where she gets her coffee.
