Good morning!

P & PD to all in need

I got up too early, I need a nap ;) I went to the doctor yesterday and I have strep & a sinus infection (both girls have a sinus infection too--so much for that not being contagious). The girls have a choir concert tonight so we'll have to "hulu" GLEE.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Good Morning, Everyone!

I don't think I slept at all last night.

Cider has 30 carbs in a cup. That's more than I eat in a meal. Maybe I shouldn't have had a cup of hot cider before bed?

Emptied the dishwasher. Managed to tip over the silver container and all the clean flatware went all over the floor.
Tidying away the last of the detris from the trip.
Hung up all the teddy bear clothes (Did I mention that 2 kids under 5 are WAY more exhausting than our teddies?)
Sort and file travel brochures
something out of the leftovers for supper. (Roast Beef and chicken)

Happy Day, all!

Take DS9 to school

Ok lost my post

Not going to be a great day here - we have decided to put DDs horse down today. We simply cannot save her. I am so sad for my daughter. And pray we made the right decision.

DD3 has dance class
visit LSS
quilt shop for mom
call cabinet shop
Parents Club Meeting tonight - planning Fall Festival
dinner - baked potato bar
go look at new luggage
Mom to Macys - she needs something
maybe look at new tennis shoes

Please send prayers for strength today.

I am so sorry to hear about the horse- sending hugs to your DD.

Rebecca

:sad1::sad1: Iremember that day and while it will be hard, you have made the right decsion. I sat in the barn with her head in my lap bawling my eyes out while the vet stood there with his hand on my shoulder waiting for me to be ready.
Never second guess that decision. If you feel it's right then it is. You have done everything you can. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. As calous as it seems there will be other horses that one will always hold a special place in your hearts that NO ONE can take away.
:grouphug::grouphug:

Linda welcomer to my world and they are 12 and almost 10 they still run circles around me.
Cheryl hope the meds kick it soon I hate both of those.
Anne still praying for you all

I'm here, doing a bit of this and that.

So sorry to hear about the horse. I know it's tough, but when it's time, you know. Hugs to you and yours.

Oh no. So sorry to hear about your horse. So sad. But you don't want him to suffer. Hugs to all of you.

Ann- how did it go with your niece? Is she ok? I've been thinking of you all day.

So sorry to hear about your DDs horse :( I'll be praying for your family.

Anne--praying for your family too

Cheryl, I hope everyone gets better quick. Strep is no fun.
Tink, sorry to hear about your horse. It is hard to make the decision you made, but know that you are doing the best thing for her now. You can't let her suffer. I'd like to think she will be running with Secretariat soon.

My to do list:

Feed cats
clean stinky pete boxes
Write in DD's communication book
Empty dishwasher
fold a load of laundry
Get DD up and ready for school
work
caffeinate
lunch with MomE and DN
Wrap wedding present

Sorry I'm just now checking in here-crazy day! Thanks so much for all of the prayers-I really appreciate it. I told the kids last night-told his DD alone first, then my boys. She handled it pretty well and didn't get really upset, but I know she doesn't really understand. The school counselor said she'll talk to her this week too, and she has a book that helps explain it to kids with a puppet and everything. He had surgery again today to put a filter in to keep the blood clots in his legs & lungs from traveling to his heart. Surgery went well, he's in the icu for the night. Good news is that the doctors say the tumors in his lungs are bleeding which means the chemo is working.

Hope everyone had a good day. So sorry to hear about the horse Tink. We cried and cried last year when we had to put one of the dogs down.

Cheryl-hope you & the girls feel better!

Thanks for all the well wishes :) The antibiotics seem to be doing their job! We are all feeling much better tonight :)

Poor baby girl  :hug: to you all! that's hopeful the chemo is working!
just a thought, do you all have a hospice group near you? they have wonderful conselors (we are using them here) they might be able to help you niece with more focused help dealing with the cancer questions, they are a free service, check with the hospital they probably have some info!

keeping you all in our prayers

Thanks for the advice Lisa-I'll check. We have never dealt with this so close to home so I'm not really sure what all the right things are to do. Just trying to stay strong for everyone!!

thanks all for the vitural hugs and prayers.

DD was OK. I explained quality of life issues and it was time. Bless DH for being here with the vet.
