Good Morning, Everyone!

Dateline - Rocky Mount, North Carolina

Yesterday I sadly left Jacksonville's sunny skys to hit the road. Dh is still not feeling well, and has on his 'barn walk' - you know, Christy - the cows walk faster when the barn is in sight! Anyway, we made it all the way to Rocky Mount, NC. Dinner was at Gardner's barbecue - we don't either one of us care for NC style barbecue (sour, no sauce) but they had fried chicken, fried cat fish, blackeyed peas, squash, hush puppies, mustard cole slaw, and cherry cobbler. We won't even talk about what happened to my diet, although I did restrain myself on the cobbler. Then, he let me stop at Ross, which I don't think we have at home. I scored a cute pair of flats with a big rose on the toe, and a two piece dress that I LOVE. Also bougth another dress and top that turned out to be too small - but I'll get there sooner or later, if I keep working at it. Today we hit the road again.

My dad used to live in Rocky Mount.

I've got the day off. The oil company guy just showed up to clean the furnace. Once he leaves, I need to go get some clear thread to sew Morgan's girl scout patches on her vest before the meeting.

I'm doing this and that - working on my list. Girl Scouts this afternoon, Glee tonight. That's really all that matters.

Good morning! It's my first official day of Fall Break at home! I enjoy getting away to the cabin, but it seems like the "stuff to do" multiplies when we get home!

Linda--have a safe trip!
P&PD to all of those in need!!

Yesterday, we had McDonald's for lunch. Somehow, my ENTIRE house smells like McDonald's STILL!!! So, I'm a woman on a mission to scrub it all today--don't know what DS is gonna think about that!

Here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. DS breakfast
4. Feed kitties that "adopted" us (outside)
5. Clean at least 2 rooms completely
6. Go to park with DS
7. DS lunch
8. Naptime
9. Remind DH to call his sis re: Christmas
10. Scrap 2-4 pages
11. Clean some more
12. Dinner--chicken enchiladas!!
13. Watch NCIS-- Tuesday nights!!
14. Go to sleep sort of early!!

Haven't been around much lately - absolutely frightful stuff going on at DS's school and a dear family friend was killed the other day by an elderly driver. Our friend was walking his dog when he was hit. Sudden, terribly sad, and so senseless...

I'll be back when/as things improve around here.

same old around here. Still getting mom's craft closet organized. She's almost there i got her to do pics today 1 box for each kid and then a box for other stuff. she already had a heritage box.

now i need to do some more on my stuff and get the quilt back out there is no way at the rate I'm going I'm going to have 2 down for xmas. especially when I just got and email for a weekend crop. ARGH
