The Daily Grind ~ 1/7/15

Well, it is a bitterly cold morning a 6 degrees w/ wind chills in the negative numbers. This is our warmest temp of the day they say and it will continue to drop in both temps and wind chills the rest of the day & we get wind on top of it!

For those dealing with the bad weather be safe and stay warm!!
We are only on a 2 hour delay at this point but I got up to keep a routine going. Only 73 days till spring per my cousin!

make lunches x 2
send DH off to work
watch news/await update if the school closes
scrap 4 pages
wake DS14 up for school
load of towels
DS14 off to school
walk 5 miles
scrap
update challenge (today and yesterdays numbers)
pick up DS14
homework
cut 5 titles from stack I found
dinner
list for Thursday

Good Morning!

Stay warm everywhere! Let me know if anyone wants to visit, its a little far but I think our low is 72 today and the sun is shining.

Today:
talk with DH about decision regarding foster/adoptive care stuff
begin sorting photos and getting things ready for the wedding album I need to do
put photos on the pages I pulled out for us from the Nov trip
dominoes
dinner (at 11:30)- turkey pot pie
funeral??
Wed night service and small groups

I'm on my way! It has dropped 3 degrees.. so we are now at 3 degrees and our wind chill is -17... The winds are starting to pick up so blowing and drifting will become an issue on roads.... so far we are still on a 2 hour delay so we will just go with it. Luckily I am a 5 minute drive to school and if the need arises I can always walk to get B and we can walk home because he will NOT be stuck at school on my watch!

tough day for us....5 years ago Jim flew back to NY for work...our last hugs and kisses from him. so unbelievable its been 5 years! think the hardest part is I realized he has been gone 1/3 of Megan's life.

25 in NY now. Sunny, only got a dusting of snow out here on Long Island.

Prayers and pixie dust to all. Thinking of you and your Megan today, Lisa. God Bless your family, and all you do to keep your husband's memory alive.

Today I have my first Physical Therapy visit for a knee that has been "bad" for more than 15 years. I finally went to an orthopedist a few weeks ago, and got some anti-inflammatory meds, and we will try PT. But, eventually, there might need to be some bionic knee in my future. Luckily, our house is set up that I have been able to live on one floor for years, as long as my DH does the laundry. But, staying at my niece's new house over Thanksgiving convinced me that I will be a very limited help to my DS and DDIL when and if they have a baby. Going up and down the stairs 8 times in two days just about did me in.

other things I hope to accomplish today:
Help with putting away Christmas things ( we are about halfway through)
probably order some dinner, since both of us will be tired.
