Wow! Was that one long and noisy night!


Prayers and to all those in need..
Those under the weather, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Those of you out east/southeast, I hope these storms pass you without much damage...
They are waiting for daylight to confirm if one touched down about an hour or so southwest of us...
PJ's school sent the warning out that they needed to seek shelter so off they went to the basement.. it was about 2 hours before we received the text that campus was all clear.. I heard from her when they went down..but not when they came up..but I'm sure she thought at 2am I was sleeping..

Alright, I have been up and moving today and now it is time to rattle the boys..

Today:

make lunches x 3
once over house
fluff and fold towels
boys up and movin'
boys to take their to the basement
ck boards/emails
finish up Jan 2013 digital PL pages
DS16 to school; then work
take DS12 to school
~~~ Done
small nap since my night was a wee bit short
await DD's text for update (she has her full load today)
stalk postman for 2 need documents for taxes..seriously ppl work with me! ~ still waiting but plates came in...
scrap stack on desk (focus on this not digital today)
pick up DS12
homework/project supervisor
await DS16 to get home from work
homework
prep dinner early as their is a BIG, BIG, BIG game on TV tonight that we will be watching.. get party food together... Time to take our rival down... it's gonna be a good game!!!

Other goals:
Scrap 10 pages today
check for any storm damage in daylight; didn't see anything this morning but it is still dark.. ~~ no damage but the ground feels like sponge under your feet.. YUCK!!

I need to get the Belle things set up in SCAL today - really should do more for her since PC stopped making her cart - I think that is going to be my projects for next year when I don't have a Disney trip planned

As far as I know, we are expecting drizzle and nearly 60 degrees today. Not sure if the wind is coming, we didn't even turn on the news this morning.

All three of us have eye appointments tonight. Morgan wants to think about contacts, but she's not sure she's ready. We'll decide tonight whether or not to go that route. Our insurance covers a lot of it, but we will have some significant costs, so...I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to find out she doesn't want to wear them. Maybe we should wait another year?

Dinner? No idea, probably something quick on the way home.

They emailed the kids but not the parents... they made the kids aware of arrangements but not the parents... I understand they are HS'ers but most of us parents knew her too..

See if the eye doctor can give her a sample pair to test them out..
PJ got hers in 8th grade because of her sports.... Now we have to pry them out of her eyes because she loves them... but we sent her to school with 2 pairs of glasses too..

DS16 wears his glasses but didn't want to try contacts... the eye doctor suggested that next year he try a sample so that when he goes off to college he can wear contacts... We shall see..

Jennifer, contacts are the great debate around here too, good luck. Winds are supposed to kick up later this evening, not as bad as down south though.

Today:
take DH in for his minor surgery, then he needs adult care for rest of the day.
renew registration while waiting for above, I will go nuts sitting in a waiting room.
home with DH and play the loving, doting wife.
dinner burgers

At least they did something to deal with it and didn't just pretend it hadn't happened although I agree they should have let the parents know arrangements as well.

Good luck with DH today Cassey!!! I'm sure you'll take great care of him!!

I renewed our registrations/plates on 1/19 and got one of our 4 registrations.. WTHeck??? my other 3 are pending and of course they are due 2/7.. I need to get PJ's to her and of course it is not here... I will start calling and complaining on Friday... I will scan the receipt for PJ to carry in her car because we are not paying for a ticket because they can't do their jobs correctly and save money by sending the registrations out in one mailing instead of 4.... that just such a waste of taxpayer dollars!!!!!

I wore contacts for years and years, but not for years now. I don't mind glasses, she's gotten tired of them. I understand completely. I think that we need to pay for a fitting, which isn't cheap here. We'll see tonight!

Jen, I'd ask for a trial pair and see how it goes. I didn't get contacts till I was on my 20s. I don't wear them much since I'm on the computer a lot and I need to get different ones that work better.

Christy, hope the driveway gets better and you feel better soon.

Doctor said DH's surgery went well, he is going to have a bit of pain for a few days but other than that he is okay. Needs to ge back to see the doctor next week to have stitches removed and a post op check up.

Our plates came in today... 3 of our cars got NEW NEW plates... Now, I need to get DH to sign them and go put them on the vehicles tonight..and put PJ's in the mail on Friday.. I wrote directions on what she needs to do on the envelope since I will be mailing it in a bubble mailer to her...
