It's The Day Before Friday! My oldest baby will be home 1 week from today!!

So, DH drove me to and from work yesterday. Everything was fine...till he decided to BACK UP to his garage...yup...STUCK!!! He is not a happy camper!



My list for today:

22"!!!!!! The snow is halfway up by back atrium door on the back deck. We were getting an inch every fifteen minutes. Trucks are banned from our state's highways until 10:00. Several hundred accidents being reported. Of the next seven days, five days show more sn@w to come.

Ugh, that a lot of white stuff.

Run to the grocery store for basics - bread, milk, cheese, lunchmeat & allergy meds.

Hound cabinet people for an answer on why they sent appliance panels for standard size doors. Standard size doors have two holes drilled on one long side to put the hinges. Appliance panels have one large and two small holes drill on the top of the door [this is for them to hang while staining]. This means we need to drill the hinge holes for 10 doors and 10 doors will have the extra holes that potential home buyers will make us deduct from the price of the home. So not only do we not recoup our investment, it will cost us extra money.

Work on swaps and laundry.

I am asking for prayers and pixie dust for my family and extended family with medical issues, my SIL, my father, both of my sister's Grandparents in Law, and my brother all are having issues with a variety of things and a few may need operations.

TRM - hope the cruise was fantastic and you're settling back in to life on land!

Ten inches more sn*w here here overnight - ugh. Just heard on the news - that brings us to 60 inches so far for this winter - and because it started after Christmas and it has been so cold since, it is ALL still here, just continuing to pile up and unable to melt off.

Perhaps today will be a quiet snow day in the middle of our typical chaotic life? Have to shovel out but then I hope to enjoy a day with the kids and tomorrow's crazy-busy stuff will start up again soon enough!

Proud mommy moment--Rachel tried out for GM Idol (a high school version of American Idol) on a whim, and out of 35 kids that tried out she made top 10 and is going to the semi-finals I'm so excited to see her gaining confidence and trying new things

My plan today is to crop til I drop

AWM, I'm so sorry there is such an issue with the cabinets... but I would not drill the new holes, I would make them fix their mistake! I know it's hard because you really want those cabinets done.....but you and DH didn't order them that way, you didn't pay for them to be ordered that way... I know, I know.. so much easier for me to yell from here, I'm not living there.... but just so you know... I'm sending you a big

Today:
Now that I'm finally up... I didn't sleep well last night so I took a 2 hour nap after I sent the kids off to school..
I will go get ready for the day... then I'm going to scrap the day away..
I did all my chores last night after the ball game while I iced my DS14's knees and doctored his floor burns... He and opposing player decided to go for the ball at the same time... opposing player leaped up and then decided to use my son as a landing mat! Splattered my baby out.. He got up and teared up but didn't need any attention... just some rest... coach walked over and said "mom said suck it up, and I say you have to I need you back in"... LOL The team we played were brutes.. I was getting really mad because one of their players was literally tackling our kids.. While 1/2 our team is football players.. they know the difference between the 2 games.. this kid did NOT know the difference...and I fault the kid and his coach!

After scrapping, I will:
run to grocery (need milk and neosporin)
pick up kids
homework
snack
dinner (eating before the game tonight because everyone wants to stay for the JV game after DS14's game.. me not so much....)

so last night Megan asked me what we are doing for the long weekend, well Sat she has a small dance recital, but I said maybe we can do something for Sun and Mon (taking her to Great Wolf Lodge)....
guess what the little monkey said "hey mom lets go to the Great Wolf Lodge!!" they've been showing lots of commericals for it the past week or so....I just played dumb, so when we pull up to the lodge hopefully she'll be surprised, but I have a feeling she will figure it out since its down past where my older DB lives....I have a smart girl here!!

Watched the fog creep into our little valley here this morning. Now socked in. I can see blue sky but nothing from our driveway down. Its weird and kind of cool.
