Michelle, We havent done the drive to WDW but we have done the trip from here to Disneyland. Its about 20-24 hours. The last trip we left after baths around 730-8 and the kids slept in the car most of the way. DBF was supposed to take a nap earlier that day ( i had to work) but he didn't so it made the drive a little more difficult. we made it Fairfield which is not on the way, closer to San Francisco by 9am the next morning. We visited the Jelly Belly Factory 
and would have been in Disney by 4pm that day but had car issues. The drive before was straight down and got to there in exactly 24 hours but we left at 7am the day before that time. I defiantly liked the overnight drive even if I was exhausted because the girls slept and didnt fight
