Were off to Port Orleans Riveride 3 weeks 25th August -15th September 2013!

We are hoping for June 2 - June 7, 2013 at the POP.

We have never been to the POP, never been in June, and have never brought 2 kids with us. This is a trip of many firsts.

POP is great! June is hot but that week is pretty good for crowds and kids make it better

The waiting game is killing me;; I can't wait to convert my resort only into a package, I can't wait to make my ADR's, I can't wait to get there already...I can't wait !

Everyday i'm on the dis for countless hours reading restaurant reviews, trip reports, etc. I have a pretty good idea of what type of experience I want to help create for my family and I since our last trip, our first trip, was a little too on the go for my mom. Minus the 2 travel days we were only there for 6 full days and we also had to work in the water parks since we'd purchased the water parks and more option. This trip will be different!

With 8 full days and no water parks and more option we will be able to get a lot done at a leisurely pace and still have plenty of down time...i'm sure mom will be pleased or this will probably be her last trip to the World! I plan to divide my time between the parks with 2 days at MK, 1.5 days at Epcot, 1 day at DHS, and 1 day at AK. The rest of the time will be spent touring other resorts, relaxing by the hotel pool, or at a park taking our time enjoying the full Disney experience!!!

This time I plan to make more ADR's than the last too! We traveled as a party of 10 so when making ADR's I tried to be respectful of everyone's budget so we only had 4 ADR's which for a 6 day trip and a full kitchen at the TH Villa's wasn't oto bad, but still I would like to have made more! I'm trying to narrow my growing reservation list down to between 8 and 10. From last trip I think we'll return to Tusker House - Donald's Safari Breakfast and maybe T-Rex! I'm definitely trying Kona Cafe', Via Napoli, Sci-fi Dine Inn, maybe Crystal Place and maybe Cape May Cafe'! There's a whole bunch of counter service restaurants I want to try too like Columbia Harbour House, and La Cantina de San Angel. I want a Lapu Lapu, a cupcake from Staring Rolls and Grey Goose or Grand Marinier Slushi!

You can make reservations directly with Disney via phone now. No package rates though.

I'm not sure, but I believe so. Wouldn't hurt to call. You can only make room-only reservation.

I believe room only can be booked 499 days out but of course the rates will be the current year and will be adjusted when the new rates are released.

I really hope when we get back we will be within a week or so of 2013 packages being released. I really hope they come out in June like they did last year.

october 2013 during F&W will be our first time at Dolphin!

If everything goes as planned we will be at Disney August 24th to Sept 1st! (we are doing the dark side (plus everthing else on the flex ticket) from the about the 16th to the 24th). Thinking we will stay at CS but I've changed my mind about 3 times so far from AoA to POP and now CS so by the time I actually book could be totally different!

Definitely February, but we are unsure of dates yet. Either Feb 6-15 or Feb 25-March 6 Staying at Art of Animation - 2 LM rooms, 10 day base tickets, and DxDDP

I'm still debating on when we should go in 2013. I don't know if we should go in September and celebrate my son's birthday (he'll be turning 6 that year) or if we should just wait a couple more months and go the week after Thanksgiving for the holiday season.

We'll most likely have a 3rd baby by then (hopefully in April/May), so I just don't know what to do!

So, i had this whole idea set to go the 1st ten days in november and to do both the last MNSSHP and the first MVMCP. However, that will not work for me. So im considering going in august or September. We did a last minute weekend trip in august this past year and while it was hot it was find. I think it has to do with growing up and always going in the summer when it was hot and crowded and its something thats part of disney for me but im also thinking maybe September. My DS will be turning 4 and it would be a good bday present and i could still do the MNSSHP. August or September? Is there a big difference between the months in regards to crowds, weather, etc. Ive heard that its just as hot in September. Are they both considered value seasons?
