The Countdown to 2013 - Join me! List Started!

Well, I never thought I would consider this, but I am thinking of staying off sight at Windsor Hills. We would be able to stay twice as long. I have not made up my mind yet, but that is what we are thinking.

We are 5 and have only stayed at the Poly with 40%. This time we are looking at all of our options.

I can't book til June 26th....will be booking at SSR. Then at 7 months, switching.

My big decision is what two resorts to pick! Ugh....too many choices...LOL! I'm stuck on BLT, BCV, AKV and possibly OKW. We'll be there for 12 days.

So I decided to not think about it for a while, til it gets closer cause I just keep changing my mind!

ETA: How soon would I be able to book? Normally we only plan about a year in advance. Thanks!

Add me to January 2013. Going to try POFQ. We will have 2 rooms, 7 people!! Yeah I just got back a few weeks ago but am having withdrawl symptoms so need to think DISNEY

I'm in for 2013! We were supposed to go this May, but I had to cancel last week because DH got a new job and wouldn't ask for time off for us to go. I am looking on the bright side, the Fantasyland expansion will be almost done by then and DD will be taller, so she should be able to ride almost everything except a couple of things. What upset me most about canceling is I got FREE DINING the day before he told me about the new job! Oh well, now I have another year to plan and dream! I already made room ressies when I canceled this years trip. We will be at POFQ May 25 through June 2. I will switch it to a package as soon as Disney allows packages to be booked. I was told since I booked my room, if rates end up going up for next year I am locked in at the rates for now. That made me happy! I can still apply any discounts that may come out!

My daughter graduates from high school in November so I'm hoping to be taking her for a week in mid Feb as a graduation present. It will be part of a bigger trip to visit family in Canada as well. At this stage it is only a maybe until I get a better idea of airfares. We would like to stay at Art of Animation but if a deal with free dining comes up at another resort we would look at that.
Probably won't know for sure until June, but fingers crossed.

I am so happy to see this thread! Add me to April 2013! We aren't definite on dates yet we are waiting for school calendars. We are *probably* not staying on property I am looking into the Bonnet Creek area, but we're Marriot members so maybe would go with one of those...all depends on the $$! We'll be flying into JAX and spending a few days in that area with my BFF and then driving down to WDW. I have to get the best rates possible (we have 3 boys to feed LOL our food budget is bigger than our lodging budget!) so I'm starting early!

Yeah! A 2013 countdown thread! We (my family of six) will be going to WDW the last week of May 25-June 1 to celebrate my nephews high school graduation! We were going to try to go this year but life got in the way (hate when that happens!!) so next year for sure!

I just bought my photopass cd for this trip. I wanted to get it now before the price went up on the 21st of this month. The photopass rep said it does not expire, so I can use it in 2013. Well, I guess that is one thing checked off my list for now.

Dates & resort may change when the 2013 packages and prices come out this summer, but...so far we're planning on January 4th through 11th at POR for our girls only trip!!

It'll be the first time we've ever stayed on-site...and the first airplane ride for my youngest daughter!

LOL -- already changed resort from French Quarter to Riverside. Didn't realize the FQ didn't have any quiet pools!

You'll have a great time!

On our way home from our last Disney trip, we stopped a Holiday Inn in South Carolina. We were at the pool, chatting with another family. They had 3 boys, ages 5, 3, and 8 months...and were driving to Florida from MAINE!

It was something like 800 miles of driving each day for three days.

All I could think about was that, after a week, they'll have to turn around and do the same drive all over again.

This next trip we would really like to try POR but to stay within our budget we would only stay there if free dining is offered again (September). Back up was going to be AOA but I think it might be difficult to get free dining there. So I think we might initially book at All Star Music and if a deal comes out we will upgrade to POR. That is how I am thinking today......tomorrow it will be a whole other story. I keep changing that often. Driving DH crazy!

I'm also having trouble choosing a resort and also like you I'm ready to make my resort-only reservation. I've only been to Disney once and my friend and daughter who'll be accompanying my daughter and I have never been. Since I stayed at a deluxe resort for my first trip I don't want to be disappointed if the budget and Disney discount doesn't allow for us to afford "deluxe" accommodations for our 2013 trip so my plan is to book moderate, POR, and upgrade to deluxe if our budget can spare it and Disney comes out with a room-only discount. On the other hand, we may just stay moderate whether a discount comes out or not.
