Kk....so this is my very, very first report (pre and soon to be post) YEAH!!! Let me just say that by the time I am leaving one trip to Disney World, my little brain is already cooking up ways to get back there. So this trip has been simmering for a while. Oh shoots....I didn't even say when we are going! December!!!!! love Love LOVE Disney for holidays. But before I get too far ahead of myself...let me introduce u guys to the cast going.
Now everytime we go to Disney we bring someone (family, friends, animals..j.j.- no animals) After the last time, DH and I decided the next trip would be just US.

The US includes...
Me...Shel (34yrs) ugh:crazy2: I can't believe I admitted that out loud. I lie about my age so much, half the time it takes me 10 minutes to figure out what age I really am. I was 29yrs old on my first ever trip to Disney World and I became an immediate fan, and completely obsessed. Y my parents never brought us there I'll never figure out. Probably money because everyone says the same thing...Disney is SOOOOO expensive. (We'll get to my opinions on that later.)

DH...Kip (33yrs) he doesn't care....age is only a frame of mind...so he tries to convince me. His parents brought them to Disney alot, so he is a veteran. However, our feelings on Disney are the same. We love each and every part of it.

DD...B (13yrs) her nickname (I have a weird thing about telling strangers my DD name- overly protective I'm sure) A sprouting Disney obsessor...what can u expect with parents like us.

Whew, that's one big pic...but I just don't have time to resize it. Those were taken on our DisCruise, which we all throughly LOVED! DH wants to do it again in 2008...we'll see.:rolleyes1

K ...back to the planning. We went to Disney in Feb. of '06 and had big plans to return in October but of course things don't always go as planned. That same Oct.'06,DH decided it was time for life change (particularly pertaining to his job) and with alot of trepidation, prayers, and optimism he left his job of 10years and went down another road. Let me just say that though we took a hit to the checkbook, things has brightened tremendously for both my DH and our family. Don't ever let anyone tell u that money makes all the difference. That just isn't so. It definitely helps but its not everything. So our Disney plans had to be adjusted accordingly. So October was off:sad1: I was sooo very sad. My sadness only lasted a little while. I got my Disney fix on these boards for quite a while. I even became a coupon train leader (until my puter crashed! ) However, after saving and paying off bills and being very thrifty (pat pat on back) there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Somewhere around hmmm.....June of this year, I started to watch these code boards and dream of Disney once again. I asked DH if we could consider going if I was able to get a good deal and he was like...hell yeah. Now DH doesn't read the boards, he does NOT plan anything and when I say nothing...I mean it. DH simply shows up with traveling directions, I give the dates and times and he's on his way. That's it. No packing, no planning, doesn't care what it costs. Weird I know but I consider it a plus.
*Side Note* (I tend to get off topic now and again)
We've never been to Disney just US. This last particular time in February we had my brother, his girlfriend, my DD's BFF, and my 8yr old nephew. We were worried about the kids...well they were great. NOTE or rather WARNING...don't bring along your brother's girlfriend! AHHH what a nightmare! She complained, cried, and only wanted to shop more than any child I've ever brought or even seen at Disney. Did I mention she was 25yrs old? What the heck were we thinking:confused: ? Needless to say, we - my DH, myself, and DD all still have horrific memories of that trip. And NO one wants a repeat, hence the vow of going alone this year. (Although, I am still waiting for B to beg for a friend to come along.)

Back on topic* I reserved a room at the ASMusic for us in October 6-12th. (I was soooo ready to see Disney dressed for the fall and Halloween) To my disappointment my DH informed me that because of the new job, he did not have vacation time until November. :sad2: Shoot here we go again! We had miscalculated. GEEZ....What gives already!!!!!!! So I call Disney and try to move the dates to November and those are few and far between because DD is getting braces (EXPENSIVE:scared1: !!!!) that liked to killed me and Thanksgiving is in Nov. I read what it's like around Thanksgiving and I ain't tryin' to do that. (We hate big crowds and long lines). So I cancel the dates and decide to call back later. Don't you know that DH's super great boss that is now my boss also ( I can't say enough how nice and sweet this man is) ..says "hey u can have vacation early and go in this month." What? Oh gosh I feel ill...I mean I cancelled the dates:sick: I call and call like a mad woman. I even got a pin code in the mail. My VERY first PIN CODE!!!:cool1: I was beyond excited. I've been wanting a pin codes since the first time I've ever read about those elusive, near fabled codes....and don't u know there is not one date we can use. Because besides the braces for DD, it is also her 13th bday and she has a party planned with 50 teenagers invited and a huge school thing. I thank our boss over and over for his generosity and decline graciously. So I book mid December. (No pin code can be used for the dates I need:headache: ) Well I'm a wee bit sad because we can't see the Halloween decor or use my first pin code (I feel so let down) but I love it during Christmas and well it is still Disney. I mean come on who can be picky...we are still going. So I put on my Xmas cap and start to dream :santa: visions of snow on Main St., trees larger than life, big 'ole ornaments, cookies, & hot chocolate. Ewww now I really can't wait. Christmas is one of my absolute fav holidays!!! :cheer2: (beside Halloween and TG, that is)
Well let me just say it gets better....but I'll get to that later.

Stay tuned for......Part 2....My SUPER Deal and a small delima.

Great start...it is really pretty over the holidays...the decorations are beautiful...need to explore the different hotels too.

So where are you eating?

K...Part 2
So I had ASMusic booked for mid December ...well low and behold my dear boss decides to post our annual Xmas party date. Now I ain't about to miss that (we're talking extra dough ppl) But I surely don't want to miss any Disney either. So I decided to check on moving my dates around a bit. Let me just say that the code boards on here ROCK:thumbsup2 During my search for discounts and such I run across a poster that is telling about Orbitz running a great deal on Pop Century rooms. Well my little fingers go to walking and HOLY BOLONGA....I can book Pop for $35/night (& thats with tax!) So I call AAA to cancel some of my days and book the Pop for Dec. 9-14th for only $214.00 total!!!!! Now my cheapo self is doing a dance and running around the house and my DH thinks I have totally lost my mind. I had two park passes left from an earlier trip, so all I had to purchase was 2-4day passes and 1-2day pass. Did that...through UndercoverTourist...they rock too! (Every penny counts ladies and gentlemen)
In my excitement I forget that I had let my DD choose the resort she wanted to stay at. She'd begged to stay at the Music and I'd switched it to the Pop for savings and dates. My delimma ...how to tell DD who was so excited about the ASM? Well I buttered up during her big bday bash and she took it well. Or as well as a 13 yr old does. But I promised to make it up to her.:rolleyes1
K...now heres the plan for the week.......

Drive down on Dec 8th
- stay 1 night in DTD @ B.W. Lake Buena Vista Resort
Ck into Pop on the 9th- 14th
-9th: DTD and PI and we plan to hit the resorts to explore XMas decor
-10th: Epcot and we'll be eating there (no sure where yet but suggestions are
definitely welcomed.)
-11th: Magic Kingdom ADR @Whispering Canyons
-12th: MGM ADR@ 50's Prime Time
-13th: Animal Kingdom - we are hoping to try that new Yak & Yeti cafe if it
open by then. But DH and B love AK and we eat all day long here. I
don't know y but we just nibble all day. But I am thinking of hitting
Trail End Buffet for supper, depending on how tired/hungry we all are.
-14th: Ck out...take a stop @ DTD again for some shopping on the way out.

So that about sums up my plans so far. However, I did leave two days open for food/restaurant selections...so I will be hitting the boards :coffee: alot to try to figure out where we gonna grub at.

So I thought I had my whole trip planned out. Busy organizing cute Disney-esc type outfits:cutie: ...u know the deal; park itineraries and such. Well DH decides after a chat about Big Daddy *spark* Epcot has some kind of diving deal and a friend mentioned it and could I please find out more info. Well I humor him right:rolleyes1 ....cash flow is being monitored highly at the moment but he is RELENTLESS. Now Kip doesn't ask for much or too often so he must really want to do this. I call Disney to get the low down. It's not as bad as I was expecting so I keep it to myself to see if he'll hit me up for it again. Sure enough the entire next week he's like ..."did u book my dive...did u book my dive?" ALRIGHT SCUBA STEVE!!!!!!(his new nickname for this trip) I mean give a girl a minute.
(I can be quite the procrastinator) Geez, he was worse than DD at age 3.

So as you can guess, I booked Dive Quest and he is more than excited. He woke up night before last dreaming he was diving at Disney. Doesn't sound like much, but DH don't dream at all. Scuba Steve has only had or rather remembered one other dream in all of our 17 years of marriage and I didn't fair so well in that one!:scared1:

So to the itinerary I am adding 4:30pm dive at Epcot- us:me and B are trying to find a excellent spot to catch some good shots of Scuba Steve on his dream dive. Any kind nudges in the right direction would be highly valuable and greatly appreciated!!!!

Also, I have to add that I am upset beyond words that I have not been able to get a dinner ADR for Whispering Canyons. :guilty: Sure I can get one at like 8:50 but who the **** eats that doggone late. (NOT US) I mean I call these ppl everyday, I am on the December ADR Cancellation thread....what more can a gal do? But on a happier note and way off the dining topic, I am soooo looking forward to spotting this whole Dream Team thing I've been reading about. I mean how super exciting that would be....I can't even imagine!!!!!:wizard: It would be so magical just to spot them, let alone receive a dream.

Who knows ....one can dream, ...and hope....and pray....and wish......;)
