Man, this day just keeps getting better and better...

Files are gone... No saving them...

I spent months and months playing detective and finding people that my parents lost touch with YEARS ago...

Silver lining here, When we printed to labels for the save the dates, I also had Terry print them for the invitations... So the major part of the file, I can recreate cause I still have those labels!!!

I can recreate the rest of what I had...

Well, that is until my laptop battery went dead... But wait, it was plugged in...

Yeah, that's right, my charger is not charging anymore!!! Somehow the wire got crimped and the wire is exposed!!!

So my laptop is out of commission... That stupid thing is my lifeline!!!

Terry rewired and fixed my charger... I knew buying him all those tools and junk would pay off eventually!!!!

I just spent the last 2 and a half hours getting my party files all redone...

I still have to do my budget, but I am really not too worried about doing that one again, I only have the cake and catering left to pay for and I have a pretty good idea what that will be, but it will depend on my final headcount...

I am trying to work on my speech, but I am having a hard time... How do you tell someone who gave up so much, taught me so much, never had to be a Dad to me and ended up being my DADDY... how much you love and appreciate them??? I honestly do not know where I would be right now if it wasn't for my Daddy... He is technically my step dad, but the word "step" was a 4 letter word in our house, it wasn't used... He earn the title of Daddy, and he deserves the title... I can't even think about giving the speech without crying... Let alone write it!!!

Giving a speech takes so much time and thought; but more than that it takes a huge amount love to pull off well. Obviously you have that, so I wouldn't worry!

His birthday is tomorrow, but he is actually in Redding right now headed for Sand Diego then LA... SO I didn't get to make him his birthday cupcakes... First time in like 15 years...

Play... Kinda... They are going to San Diego to see my aunt and uncle and do some work on their house, then heading to LA to see another uncle, then Disneyland for a day or two and finally to Alta Loma to see the last uncle... They will be gone for almost 2 weeks...

In the meantime, we have their 3 dogs...

Their 3+our 2=5 dogs!!!! 4 of them are labs... big dogs...

Okay, I wanna get opinions on cakes...

Here is a pic of the ballroom... It's the only pic I could find and it's not a very good one... The tulle around the chair covers for our party will be silver... The tablecloths will be black, napkins are red, and red centerpieces...

We are going with a 3 tier cake... The first one is just to show you the cake pick we bought... The cake is pretty but I think a little too busy for what we want...

Okay here are the cakes that we like...

We would do red flowers on this one...

Now I am really hungry for cake...


So what do you guys think??

I am kinda digging the silver also... And I think since it is their silver anniversary it would be cool for it to be silver... And I also like the way the red roses look on it...

Awww Bill and I are really touched that you would want to have a meal with us. We were looking at dates and think will be there Dec. 2 - 13th, if we drop days it will be on the end of the trip.
