Tink, you're not helping me - is this a decent price?

Should we stay onsite or stay offsite to save a little money? What is Riverside like? Is it nice? We've only stayed at the Contemporary - it was WONDERFUL. Am I going to be disappointed in staying in a moderate? I'm a hotel snob, not so much for decorations, but for cleanliness. Is it clean there? How's the pool?

So many questions - guess I should head over to the resort board, eh?

I've stayed at Riverside twice, once in 1998 when it was still Dixie Landings and once in 2004. In 1998, we stayed in the Alligator Bayou section, which is where you'll be if you have a trundle bed due to the kiddos. In 2004, we stayed in the Magnolia Bend, the southern mansion part. Personally, I much prefer the Bayou section to the mansions. The mansion rooms on the interior remind me more of any old hotel in South Carolina, but the Bayou section reminds me more of a themed room, ala Wilderness Lodge. It's a pretty resort. The best of the mods, I would say. Fairly spread out though. Food court is good, nice gift shop. We drive to Disney and don't use the buses, so can't comment on that. The boat to DTD is very nice though. You go by POFQ and Saratoga Springs on your way to the Marketplace. We don't swim either, so can't comment on the pools. There's one main pool though and several quiet pools scattered around. POFQ has the nifty pool with the serpent and King Triton slide.

i'd like to say that i understand who has been elected to the office of POTUS, and i respect the office, my country, and our history, but i do not feel i MUST respect the person filling the position.

respect is earned.

to date, this person has been disrespectful of what this country is about, what the flag represents, and of former POTUSs (and now their wives too?). when he shows that he is respectful of this country and what we have all done to maintain our freedom and opportunities, i will consider paying him resect. until then, i try to keep in mind my father, uncle, cousin, great uncle...and all the others who have fought (and died) for us and our country and how they must feel when they hear/see the disrespect.

Hi MM! Just wanted to tell you that I think you got a really good deal. I've stayed at virtually all of the WDW resorts other than Pop and All Stars, and I think POR is a beautiful resort. The room will be slightly cramped with the 5 of you, but I'm sure you'll do fine. The grounds of POR are absolutely beautiful, and it's a pleasant less than 10 minute walk to PO FQ, if you want to try out their food court. The trip to DTD on the boat is also really nice. Good job!

I think of all the things that any new mother fears, and having him stop breathing is probably my worst one, because he could do that when I'm not there. I'm not pushing anymore to get him home, I'll just bide my time and let him get stronger first...besides, Tuesday is my 1st wedding anniversary, so we'll have something else to celebrate

Sorry Jacob couldn't come home, but he'll be home before you know it! Happy 1st wedding anniversary. What a wonderful way to celebrate. Can't wait to hear more Jacob stories.

But being with you guys makes me feel a little better. I appreciate it.

They even had a logo that said something like "office of President Elect". You mean to tell me he needs a logo to let us know what his job classification is? Plus he said Uhh or Umm 165 times in 16 minutes, including 23 times in his first answer alone( a local radio station counted...not me ). Of course the OS are telling us that we can't pick on him for being the 'Wizard of Uhhs' because he used to have a stuttering problem when he was little and can't help it. I guess that it is OK to pick on Sarah Palin because of her accent though!
