Curious....

I've been watching for the ticket sign up for the taping of The Chew at Food & Wine for a bit now. I noticed yesterday afternoon that we could finally request them, so I did. The response is that we're on the Waitlist. The email implied that they process tickets until they are at capacity, but does anyone know what this really means? Has anyone else been granted tickets?

The tickets were gone by early July, according to the Disney Food Blog and only Waitlisting remained.

Did you watch The Chew yesterday? Mickey was on the show!

Oh no! That's so disappointing! I wonder how that happened. I've been checking the ticket request link for what seems like forever! Yesterday was the first day that "Coming Soon" changed to another option. So bummed!

So do any of you know of someone that has tickets already or is approved for tickets?

I was just granted tickets yesterday. I had submitted the request back when they first opened. My impression is that all requests go to waitlist at first and then they get processed. No idea if first come-first served or if the little blurb they ask you to write plays a role. I wouldn't lose hope! Good luck!!

I have to ask...
You mentioned that you requested tickets back when they first opened. When was that and where did you request them from? I feel like I was stalking the wrong site all along. :(

Gosh, I don't know. Think it was ~mid-July when the initial calendar was announced. I think there's only one site (1iota). I wouldn't have known about it if I didn't obsessively stalk the F&W thread so thanks to whomever posted that tickets were available.

The confirmation email I received stated that requests are processed in batches and you have to actively confirm you want the tickets, so don't give up hope! I'm local and initially requested every date - only one came through & no idea why/how; the rest still show as waitlisted. I'm not sure where in Epcot they are taping but I bet it will be a pretty large audience. Fingers crossed for you!!

I would like to know this too. I've been checking for about 6 weeks now and it has always said coming soon. How misleading.

We requested back on July 4 and were put on the waiting list then too

Just got my The Chew tickets email!! So excited!! Anyone know what the "Ticket Groups" mean?? I got Group A which I hope is a good thing.

SOOOO Envious!! (but in a friendly way)

I have to ask... did you request tickets back in July during the mysterious microscopic window of time that I missed?

Having gotten tickets to a Chew taping in NYC, I'm guessing what happened was that the registration for the F&W tickets happened in July as part of their previous season ticket requests and then they went on their summer hiatus, and are now processing ticket requests for this season.

Last year I started looking for tickets in the summer for a fall taping and I remember there was a period in the summer where they weren't allowing ticket requests. The shows from the beginning of the 2014 season had already been ticketed, so in September they started allowing requests for October on. I don't know if I'm explaining it well but I'm pretty confident that this is what happened here too.

Yes... I put in my request in July when I checked and the ticket requests were open.

Everyone is automatically wait listed. I have received tickets before for an NYC taping. I was on the waitlist until 2 1/2 weeks before the taping when I received an email.
