The Cheesecake Factory

They opened one here recently too and after all the glowing reviews on the DIS, I was expecting something really great. I'm sure my expectations were too high because, while it was fine, I didn't think it was any better than Applebee's or Fridays. I thought the cheesecake was very expensive too. They must make a nice profit on that!

The cheesecakes excite me (LOVE them!), but they give you so much food - it's hard to justify eating there unless you can share, or it is the kind of meal that will put down well as leftovers. Portion sizes in the U.S. in general are shocking to me, but Cheesecake Factory have some of the largest! I hate food wastage - that's why this bothers me - I'm sure it doesn't bother others.

I also dislike how crowded it can get. My solution - just get cheesecake to go!

I LOVE the Cheesecake Factory!!! They have a fried mac & cheese appetizer that is SOOOO good! I also love just about any of the cheesecakes. Thanks...now I need to go back!!

DD and I went after dress shopping Sat.The menu is like the size of a phone book! She had the fried mac & cheese as her meal. I didnt try it. It just sounds wrong but she swears it is awesome. I tried something other then Evelyns pasta (my fave) but wasnt lovin the artichoke and mozzarella pizza. We split a Blackout cake. OMG it was soooo good! :)

I've eaten at 3 different ones, in Scottsdale, Arizona, Houston & Dallas. The one in Arizona & Houston are both awesome!!! The one in Dallas is not as good. I love the Teryaki Chicken. Their fruity drinks are good too, and of course gotta love the cheesecake.

I've been eating at them here and there for the past 12 years or so. I don't think they are as consistent as they used to be. Sometimes we go and have a great meal. Other times we go and it is so so. And, its not a case of ordering the wrong thing. We often order the same things and the quality is just spotty. But, a good meal there can be great. And, a bad meal is never the type of bad that turns you off from ever going back.

I love eating at the Cheesecake Factory. They have the best food and great potions.

DD & I usually split a meal and then split a piece of cheesecake. The hard part is deciding what flavor to try next;) Favorites are Dulce de Leche, Strawberry and the Kahlua one. I agree that the prices are high, but eating there is a treat - we only go every few months and order cocktails, entree and dessert. Oh, and the pizza and salads are all VERY good!

PS Had some shrimp spring rolls that were wonderful last time :goodvibes

We went there this weekend in fact I still have some leftover cheesecake in the fridge!

I had forgotten about the lack of a kids menu.
My DH and I only took the girls there once and I think they ate off of our plate. Defintely enough to share, but I love that part. I always have 2 meals out of it and take the cheesecake to go.
I always get the meatloaf and a piece of Turtle Cheesecake to go and my DH always gets a piece of Godiva cheesecake. He orders the salmon and our bill w/ no appetizers and only iced tea is over $60.00 for the 2 of us.

I work at Cheesecake Factory, love it there. In the picture, is that Fresh Strawberry, Lemon Rasberry Creme, Tiramissu, and Chocolate Oreo Mudslide?

I have eaten there twice. Once we got charged the dinner price for lunch menu items which stunk. Didn't catch it until we'd left. Neither time did I find the food 'great'.
Good thing our local Barns and Nobel have Cheesefactory cheesecake, because the lines to the actual restaurant are out the door every time. I wonder how many people who go to the mall realize it. Granted they don't carry every flavor but they have probably 10 or more. :goodvibes

When I go, I dont seem to have room for dessert, so I get 2 slices to go. Last time I got pineapple upside down cheesecake. DELICIOUS!

You're close!

Dh had strawberry cheesecake, dd had cherry cheesecake, I had tiramisu cheesecake, and ds had the chocolate Oreo mudslide. : )

ETA: I ordered a lunch portion salad and dh ordered a lunch portion fish and chips. Both would have been way too big for a kid's meal, so a kid's menu would have come in handy. The "lunch" portions were sized for adults and not kids. I can't imagine how big the dinner salad would be!

The dinner salads are HUGE. I split one with my MIL and GMIL for dinner once and we still couldn't finish the whole thing. I don't get the salads as much anymore when we go there b/c they don't hold up well as leftovers and I MUST have leftovers to justify the price. :lmao:

I recently had the shrimp and lobster salad. It comes only in the full dinner size but I ate most of it for lunch and it was delicious.:)

I have been there several times and don't love it. It's okay but I have never had anything that overwhelmed me. Our MOPS group (Mothers of Pre Schoolers) is meeting there for dinner on Thursday night. Since I am doing Weight Watchers I guess I will either have a salad or the salmon. Any suggestions for healthy items?

for starters you must get the Advocado egg rolls, then the Bistro Shrimp Pasta followed by the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.

I'm working myself into a trip to the Cheesecake Factory....Hmmmm

I love the Cheesecake Factory! I take my mom with me and we go maybe once a month. My favorite appetizers are the potstickers. My favorite sandwich is the Shrimp Club. Yummy!!! I get that every time and bring half the sandwich home so I have room for cheesecake. I love the Snickers cheesecake. Now I'm hungry!
