Thankfully, the rain is gone and day two is action packed! I am so excited that James Blake moved through. :thumbsup2 Agassi is playing now and looking good! :goodvibes
I am excited about Hingis being back and moving on! :cool1:

One last thought, I love the theme music that Boyd Tinsley wrote for the tournament! It sounds so good! :thumbsup2

I haven't been able to actually watch any of the matches (I rarely record them), but I've had the wimbledon.org site up all day at work both today and yesterday (not that it mattered much yesterday!).

I'm happy to see that Agassi, Blake, Nadal  and Henman have all gone through.

Did you hear about the offer Brad Gilbert received to coach Andy Murray? I heard it was just shy of $1,000,000!!!

Wowsa! Murray must be a pretty decent player. He took out a seed pretty easily today (or so it seems by the match score!).

Though...I REALLY hope this is Tim Henman's year.

Here's sending good vibes for Blake, Roddick, Gimelstob and Henman, who are playing today. Especially Henman, he's playing Federer!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I guess Gimelstob didn't need the good vibes since I just realized he already won earlier. :)

Surprisingly, he won well! :thumbsup2

Poor Henman, I think Federer is even feeling bad for him! :guilty:

Roddick had me nervous during his match. :bitelip:

It really makes me sad that he went out in the second round this year!!! I SO want him to win a major in his career and I would love for it to be Wimbledon. I guess he'll have to wait until next year!

Wow, great tennis day. I absolutely loved Roddick's match! 69 minutes and it was all over! :thumbsup2 I am thrilled Agassi moved through so easily! :goodvibes

Same here! Sad for Gimelstob though. :(

I was in tears today watching and listening to Agassi's goodbye. I know he has one more major (and I'll probably cry even more at that - I'm such a girl), but it was still sad.

Mr. Agassi - we salute you as one of the greatest tennis champions of all time. It was a privilege to have seen your career!!!

I love agassi and am very sad to see him go! I have alot of memories watching him play while i was at my grandparents house!

I cried through the last 3 games, I knew he wasn't going to make it. Agassi is such a great person on and off court. I've watched him since he started and can't believe this year it will be over. He was so gracious today when he lost. Was anyone else bothered by how long Nadal took between points? I think he should have gotten a warning, I think Agassi was getting tired of his tactics. Anyway looking forward to the open, will shed more tears.

In all honesty, I didn't notice how long Nadal took until one of the commentators mentioned it....then I couldn't help but notice!

Then again, I love Nadal. I love watching him play and every time I've heard him speak, whatever he says always has a lot of class (even though I have trouble occasionally with his Spanish accent). I think that was also shown when he recognized that, although some of the crowd cheering was for his win, that the majority of it was saluting Agassi and his contribution to the game of tennis.

I also love Rafa's biceps. :teeth:

I'm such a dork. I've watched the Agassi farewell 4 times total now and I've cried every time!

Congratulations to Amelie Mauresmo and Roger Federer - this year's Wimbledon champs! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm glad Mauresmo finally got the satisfaction of a Championship Matchpoint. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I have to say though, I was rooting for Nadal to win....but Federer played a hell of a final!

Kimya

I was happy with the womens final, I thought Henin was wrong to retire in the Austrialian open. Glad they had a rematch.

I watched men's final. I didn't have a strong preference in the winner because I like both except when playing Agassi. I was a huge Borg fan so don't want his record of 5 wimbledon in a row beaten soon.

One thing about Nadal he is always gracious in losing or winning. So is Federer, a real gentlemen.
