I was so inspired by y'all and my new Cricut, I finished my title page to a little CM 7 x 7 book I'm putting together. It's going to contain pictures taken at the same place in the parks or with the same characters through the past 6 Disney trips. The "now" pictures will be in color and the "then" pictures are all going to be in black & white. I've got some of the comparison photos on my blog (link below). It's amazing how much my kids have grown.
I still need to clean up some of the glue residue around the squares. I use the little X xyron when I do mosaics, but it's hard to get all of the glue off around the edges. I try to rub around each piece before I pull it out of the plastic and backing, but it still manages to have this residue.
I embossed the Disney letters from the Circut with silver and also embossed stamped "THEN," brackets, and a pocket watch on the lower right. You can't see the pocket watch clearly in my picture. I apologize for the bad photo.
Thanks for all the inspiration and for the heads-up on the Cricut deal last week! It has helped me get the ideas flowing again!
Thanks! The Disney is the Circut Mickey Font at 1 inch, I believe. I thought it would be one big piece but it was individual letters. I took each black letter and embossed with silver. It was crazy. I had to hold each little piece with a toothpick. I kept losing the pieces to the "I". LOL!
I'm loving the Cricut! I wonder what the hype was, but now I konw. It's a great tool. I still love my Sizzix, too. In fact, my dh asked about my Big Shot he just got me for Christmas. He asked, "Is it obsolete now?" Heck no, I told him. I need it all!
BTW, I showed dh this layout and he liked it. He had to comment about my tall head! He's a crazy guy. I hated having to split us up, but with mosaics and a group photo, someone is getting the axe. It really made my head look very tall but it's funny to me.
Here's a few of my layouts, my scanner isn't working so the quality isn't great. You guys are such an inspiration with your layouts, I love getting ideas for our next album!
Here's a simple one that I printed on the back side of a plastic sheet (in reverse) and sandwiched with a scrapbook paper from Michael's. It looks remarkably like a cel!
I am still working my way through my disney photos and am also doing a digi album (quite a few of the pages on my blog in my Florida album are digi) and I made this one which is of my happy place - Typhoon Lagoon. I just love that park so much
