The Causeway in DTD was open today

I'm not sure this qualifies as news, since we knew it was happening, but we just thought it was happening tomorrow. It surprised us to find it open today!
We took a few pics, so I'll try to figure out how to get them posted for anyone who'd like to see them. Hopefully this works:

Also, a bit later in the evening, the fountain in the center was going. Everything looked nice, and it should help alleviate some crowding at night!

Yep posted a link to more pictures in the news thread. It sounds like it opened a day earlier than some expected. Glad to see DTD coming together into Disney Springs. Such great details.

I think this is a really good and much-needed addition. The "people traffic" in the area between RF and Lego is never anything short of insane. The traffic flow is severely disrupted by the many landscape features, pin trading boutique, the "kiddie train" ride and all of the other little "pop-up" gift shops and snack kiosks. The new bridge should really help to even out the traffic significantly.

No that is a separate walk way and that has been done for months already. I suggest looking up a park map to get a visual.
