NWo/USO if the cat in the hat doesn't make you sick doesn't mean that you can tell another person that it is a baby ride and won't do anything to you. Everybody has a different tollerance to the spinning type of rides. The person was letting other people know if they get motion sickness then they might want to stay clear of this attraction. If I remember correctly this is the type of stuff that got you booted the last time.

Well let's break it down, I was calling the ride a "Baby Ride" I wasn't calling the people on it babies. I know all about inner ear problems and how they affect you. If it affects you there is a big warning outside that says it spins you and people with that problem should not ride. The ride is a "Baby Ride" next to the other 2 rides in Suess Landing they are the tamest rides in the park. As for nWo, nWo was not banned, nWo left, and requested to be removed so nWo left on his own terms. Anyone who say's different is a liar.

Webmasters are the only ones allowed to ban people, actually. Rarely are anyone's posts deleted because of a request, but because they are banned. I don't know in nWo_Thunder's case, but his username and many posts were deleted.

Oh my god, that's a baby's ride and it made you all sick? It does spin you around and bump you around but it's not anymore different then any other rides in the park.

Translation please?

Translated it means that the ride is like all other rides in the park in that they spin you, they turn you, they make sudden fast movements. It's just a lot toned down then your Spider-Man and Storm Force Accelatron.

I don't see how I can translated it any easier then that, so if you cannot understand the above sorry.

But I'll leave it at this if you are prone to Motion Sickness you really shouldn't go to either park because the rides are the same. You can go to see the shows, if you plan really well you might see them all in 1 day.

Ahhhh the old back pedal boogie in progesss. I guess Universal and disney just really messed up spending all that money for all those rides since they are all just the same!!!!!

I bet Billy Joel wrote the song "i don't know why i go to extremes" just for USO2003 :smooth:

Yep its him...he is back! Hang on to your hats.

I'm prone to motion sickness and not all the rides make me sick. Actually the coasters are much more rider friendly than the spinners. BTTF, even though it doesn't spin, does make me sick since the movements aren't all that well coordinated with the video.

So just because you get motion sick, you still can ride most rides.

I think rides that spin are definitely a different animal!
When Pixie57 started this thread, they wanted to warn people that while Cat in the Hat is right there in Seuess Landing alongside other "kiddie" or "baby" type rides, that CITH is not something that everyone can or should ride! I know the first time I went on it, I wasn't expecting it to be so intense...little kids probably don't have much trouble with it, as they seem to be able to handle spinning more than us "big" kids , but if you just ate a big lunch, or don't enjoy an intense spin or 5, then it's a good idea to turn the spin off.
I can handle MIB MANY, MANY times in a row, as well as Spiderman, but once on CITH with the spinning is plenty for me, it's a tight, closed spin...like Storm Force, which I also don't go on.

It's not a baby ride...it's a "kiddie themed" ride, that comes with a warning! Nobody should have their day ruined because they didn't know it has intense spinning and they just had a giant chili cheese dog.

I don't think anyone needs to insult those that can't handle ANY ride, for whatever reason. :) Tactful IS in the dictionary, after all.

Ok lets forget I mentioned I think it's a baby ride. I forgot it's meant for adults not little kids, so I am sorry that's how I see it.

You guys need to lighten up sometimes you take things so personally, like they are personal attacks on you. Because I view a ride as a baby ride doesn't mean I think you people, or people who ride it are baby's.

Let's leave it at you all have your opinions and I have mine. Also it was wrong of me to express any view I might have, I didn't think it would offend so many people but I guess it did. So I am sorry I said anything at all about the ride.

You know what your problem is you don't know how to comprehend what you read, they have the same sensations and same sorts of sudden motions. Its a THRILL PARK! I would imagine that there are rides that will make people prone to Motion Sickness, Dizziness, BACK PAIN, not happy when they go on the ride.

Lets just say people who go to a "Thrill Park" need to expect that and any questions about how bad they are are listed on those HUGE Warning Signs outside the ride, there is also Attendents that are there to answer questions.

well this is what i read

the problem is your no middle ground expression of your opinions as responses to valid questions for information. swap places with the one you are responding to before you answer just once and see if you would appreciate the answer you are about to give.

:smooth: :smooth:but they are not all the same, agreed??????

I have said enough in this thread so I will not respond to anyone more posts on this topic. I'll only end up deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole.

Since I started this...can I have the last word?! :)

My intention was to let people know that if they were prone to motion sickness, that they had the (unpublicized) option of asking the operator to turn off the spin.

I also wanted to share the experience I had...being able to ride MIB and Spiderman, while being really thrown for a loop on
CITH when I did not ask the operator to turn off the spin.

It's all about sharing information...so that everyone can have the best time possible on their vacation!

Exactly right!
I'm sure that tip has been helpful to many! :)

Who would expect a ride to "do you in" that's located in a primarily "kiddie" area?!

This board is SO helpful to those planning vacations to USF/IOA, I know, I used to be one of them! ;)
