Children's author Paula Danziger has died at age 59 from complications fron a heart attack. Perhaps your children have read her stories. She is well known for the Amber Brown stories.
Paula had visited every state in the US and many countries. Most of all she was a Disney fan!
Thanks Paula and rest in peace.

I remember her books. My daughter has some of her Amber Brown books, but I remember ones like "the Cat ate my Gymsuit."

I'm sorry to hear of her passing.

I loved her books, especially "There's A Bat In Bunk Five" which was the follow up to "The Cat Ate My Gymsuit".

What ages are those books geared toward? I'm always looking for something to keep my DD's nose in a book, especically in the summer. She's 10 by the way.

Oh how sad!!!! :( I have three of her books sitting on my desk right now, including The Cat Ate My Gymsuit. I am a children's librarian. Her most popular recent book is the Amber Brown series but I like the oldies!

She and Ann M. Martin (Babysitter's club books) wrote 2 books together, one was called "Longer Letter Later", that I even enjoyed.

How sad and how young. :( My kids have all enjoyed her books.

One of my favorite authors! How sad! I guess it really is an "Aardvark Eat Turtle World!"
