The "Castle" experience

Just back from the "world". We ate at CRT lunch on Tuesday (11/1). When I booked the reservation in August I felt that we were paying for the experience --- that said we all enjoyed ourselves, (me,DH,DS8,DD7). The food was good (not the best, not the worst) and we appreciated the pace of the meal. We had had a couple of slow paced meals earlier in our vacation that were hard on my kids and took up valuable park time. Fairy Godmother and Cinderalla were greeting guests below and Snow White, Belle, Mary Poppins, and Wendy D visited us at lunch. All that said, based on the changes I'm reading about now I'm glad that we did it as it was a wonderful experience for my DD, but we'd have to think very hard about doing it again.

Yes, its cool to eat in the Castle. We've done dinner there twice and are going for my birthday in a couple of weeks. It'll be one of the highlights of the trip.

to me it's a midlle of the road "well maybe". if mk is your favoirte park and just says disney to you like no place else, the castle would be the crowning touch...if you like the entire property and consider it all magical, well the castle is nice but i think the atmosphere at some of other other places are just as nice with better food. if you have princess happy little ones it might be a thrill for them but our 8 yr old daughter fell asleep mid meal so i don't think she was all that impressed. it's probably one of those do it once places for me epecially now that is has gone up even more.

Eating in the castle is definitely an *experience*. I've been twice, once for breakfast on my honeymoon, and for dinner before MNSSHP last week.

I love the experience of being there. For both meals, I was pleasantly suprised with the food. I enjoyed both meals immensely, and wasn't really expecting to after the reviews I had read.

This isn't a must-do for every trip, but it's definitely something I would consider in the future either for me or to take other family members who have never been.

My DDs (ages 3 and 5) often talk about "eating in the castle with the princesses." They enjoyed the castle very much. I would definitely experience it at least once. Well worth the memories.

My hubby and I did lunch at CRT in October, it was the last thing we did before we caught the plane to come home. It was AWESOME. Food was good and the atmosphere was really cool...My husband loved it when Cinderella called him the "handsome prince" !! Each princess came to our table for pictures and we didn't feel out of place at all with the little princesses. I recommend everyone do it at least once in a lifetime!!!! :earsgirl:
