I was just wondering if anyone had a picture of when the castle was turned into a pink cake. I have never seen it or even heard about it till I came to this site. Thanks a lot.

BTW: how many "special" creations do they have for the castle? Any photos of the castle "dressed" up would be appreciated to!

Thank you very much for your time!!!!

short of the HCOE decorations which have been subsequently removed, the other well known decoration:

wikipedia covers all of them

Stitch TP'd the castle? Priceless!:lmao:

Stitch's Castle decorations were for a commercial, so it was just one day that it was like that... But the best part was that in the commercial they show stitch throwing Cinderella's things out the window, because he was moving in, so also floating in the water around the castle were Cinderella's canopy bed, some luggage, dresser, etc... it was Hysterical :lmao:

prince charming once chastised little stitch for the decor

From the Wikipedia:

"Cinderella Castle is the faux fairytale castle at the center of two Disney theme parks, the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland at the Tokyo Disney Resort"

NO!!! It isn't true, it isn't true...:sad2:

every stone is worth its weight in gold

Here is a pic of the castle on its way to becoming a cake...terrible!

Yup, and they brought a bunch of Elvises out on the castle stage to sing...during which Stitch slipped off so the cops/FBI guys couldn't arrest him.

He was to be found running from place to place around the park that day. :lmao: Even though the Stitch ride (which this was promoting) totally sucked, it was a really good opening day. :)

That pink birthday cake was terrible. It was cute on its own (sort of), but people love the castle - they want to see the castle. Nobody cares about a big cake. Especially a Pepto Bismol one. That was a dumb, dumb idea.

DH and I went on our first trip to DW in 1997 6 months before our wedding. Although we have a lot of pictures of it, I strongly disliked the castle as a cake. When we went in 99, I felt like I'd actually been to DW. I really loved the castle last July for the Happiest Celebration on Earth. I thought the extras made it even more beautiful. Can't wait to see it again 3 weeks from tomorrow and again in December!

I had no problem with the cake castle. To each there own!
I wish I would have seen stictch TP it tho...I loved it!!!:rotfl2:

I don't think it photographed well. I saw it in person and it really wasn't that bad...but I do love the castle on it's own.

Guess we're in the minority because we loved it. As another poster said, maybe because my kids were little and cute then and SO excited to see the big cake. They still remember it now over a decade later (and were almost 2, 3 and 5 at the time) and when we made our countdown calendar this time, DS13 insisted I use a pic of the Castle Cake for the day that falls on his birthday (a couple days before our trip!). My pic of my guys in front of the castle back then:

And the castle closer up:
