We went to DCA this morning to 1. See Rogers and 2. Try the new food at San Fransokyo.

We arrived just before 10 am and there was no line at the turnstiles and the park was eerily empty.

We got our spot in the Rogers VQ for the first show, so spent time walking around the park.

Even though it is way too early for Halloween, we enjoyed some of the new decorations.

I really like the transformation of Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo.

The park felt empty everywhere except at Lucky Fortune Cookery, where the line was long.

We ordered the karaage-inspired crispy chicken sandwich, the beef barria ramen and the Baymax macaron. The chicken sandwich was very good, as was the macaron. The ramen was a little spicy for our taste. Personally, I prefer the barria tacos at Cocina Cucamonga over the barria ramen

While we were eating, we got notice that the first show of Rogers was cancelled. A cast member let us know that our VQ spot was moved to the second show. He then added, if there is a second show. Hmmm. 🤔

We hopped over to DLR and, just before we were about to return, we received notice that the second Rogers performance was cancelled as well. They ended up canceling all performances for the day.

So... no show, but a pleasant day in the park and some good tasting new food.

That is so crazy that it was so empty! I am sorry you were not able to see the Musical. That is frustrating. Were the rides lines really short?

We have Magic Keys so don't always go for the rides. I checked the app, but often it isn't accurate.

Guardians said 30 min, but there was no line outside. Unless it wound around inside, I can't imagine that it would be 30 min. Spiderman said 60 min. I think it may have been down and we lucked out and caught it when it re-opened, because we walked right on with no wait.

This is the only pic I took of a posted wait time.

We were just there. Pretty light crowds. But with RS closed, wait times up regardless of crowds. Guardians only running two outside shafts.

Mania reopened :) Rogers canceled for the entire day -- we're literally -0 of 3 trying to see this. Loki must know our visit patterns.

When we hopped over around 1130, of the big ticket rides the shortest was Webslingers at 35 min. Monsters was 45, Guardians 55 and both looked it.

We also have Magic Keys and had planned to make it mostly a quick shopping and eating visit. So we were fine not riding anything other Buzz. It was 20 min when we got in line, 45 once we were done. It was quieter compared to many Saturdays, but unfortunately we didn’t experience the empty parks the OP did.

We must have just missed you. We were in DCA from 10-12:30 ish. We hopped over to DLR, but only to look in the stores. We took some pics with the characters because there was no line, and then headed out.

We're home now, charging our portable batteries, moving outdoor furniture into the garage, and getting flashlights ready just in case. Hopefully we won't need any of it. 🙏
