I've been dying to get this DVD since Dave's interview with Richard Sherman, so I was excited when Kevin mentioned you can get through iTunes now. I don't know a thing about iTunes, I hope to buy the DVD...I cannot find it anywhere. I see it listed through iTunes, but it doesn't come up on Best Buy or Amazon at all. Not even as a pre-order, which is strange for Amazon. I have a couple pre-order things with them that don't come out until July. So I'm wondering if iTunes could have some sort of exclusive? It's just seems odd not to be able to find it somewhere for sale or pre-order.

Ok...this is weird.

I was looking at iTunes and saw that this was rentable. Once it hits iTunes, it's usually available through other outlets.

I have called Blockbuster, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy and tried Amazon and no on seems to be able to find it.

The person at Barnes and Noble actually went on the web to locate some information and she was perplexed as well. There is a great deal of information about the movie available on line...but no reference as to where it can be purchased.

So far....the only outlet I see is iTunes.

If I find anything else....I'll let you know.

Thanks for letting us know about the movie, Kevin! I'm downloading it right now.

Thanks Kevin! That saves me some calling. I searched on-line and was going to try calling a couple places later today.

Isn't that so weird? Amazon is my go to place and I couldn't believe that didn't have it listed at all. I even went to the Sherman Brothers website. It talks about the documentary, but no info on a DVD. I'm surprised Disney doesn't put it out. Sell it in the parks.

I hope the same thing doesn't happen with Waking Sleeping Beauty.

I rented this movie off itunes and it was very good. Good but very bittersweet:sad2:

The documentary was put out by Disney so I was wondering if I would be able to purchase it at the world on DVD. I'm surprised that noone has seen it on Disney property.

Sadly not on UK iTunes :sad2: Hope it stays a while as I plan on buying a USA iTunes giftcard in 4 weeks time. This would be perfect purchase :thumbsup2

I just saw there is a Facebook page specifically for this movie. On the page, Jeff Sherman (Robert's son) says it is now available on Itunes and VOD and it is due to be released on DVD/BluRay in November. I am really looking forward to owning this!

I heard that Th Boys was coming out on DVD in the fall. I believe Waking Sleeping Beauty will also be coming out in the Fall, along with what Peter Schneider said is a ton of extra footage that they simply didn't have time or space to fit into the film.

Go to your local Blockbuster store. They will not have in store, but they can order it for home delivery.

At the Walt Disney Family Museum guests were told the following documentaries would be available this fall:

The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story
Waking Sleeping Beauty
Walt & El Grupo

All are excellent films!

I called the local Blockbuster and they told me that they dont even have a listing for the movie.

I was told there is no way for them to order it.

The closest I came was with Barnes and Noble. The CS person researched it on the internet and told me she saw the title listed, but that there was no information available to order it.

I think we have solved the mystery. I think it's available on iTunes now and will be available on DVD in November.

This seems to be the consensus.

Mystery seems to be solved! Thanks for all the info. Looking forward to November! :thumbsup2

Cool.:cool1: Now I know what to get myself for Xmas.:thumbsup2

My AT&T U-verse has The Boys available for Pay Per View right now for $10.

I just watched this and must say that it's a MUST SEE for every Disney fan!

Have Kleenexes at hand. It is bittersweet. It says much for Walt Disney that many years after his death many people who worked with him are still deeply affected by his death and still miss him very much.
