:wizard: Now that The Boathouse has been open for a bit, I was wondering what everyone thinks. We have an ADR booked for our upcoming trip and want to know if I should keep it or look for something else.
It will be myself and my adult daughter going and she loves seafood. Any info would be appreciated!

Can't comment - not going there. Based PURELY on the menu? I'm not seeing anything that makes me want to depart from Shula's for a great steak, or Fulton's for great shellfish. The amphibacars from 1957? I'll pass :).

I loved it!:)

I don't think the atmosphere can be beat-waterside with live entertainment daily and hundreds of thousands of dollars in unique vessels docked there.

Very unique space IMHO.:)

Well, I'm looking forward to trying it. I enjoy reading reviews both good and bad so we'll see! The baked Alaska alone intrigues me, haven't had one in years.

I had to pass for this year. WE have so many restaurants already planned that I am waiting for next trip.

It's definitely worth a trip. The restaurant is beautiful and is fun to explore. The food was tasty, and the service was excellent. Be sure to check out the gift shop; lots of fun items!

We had great food and service when we stopped in for lunch. The place itself is beautiful. At the same time my DH would have liked knowing that their was a lunch menu that was less expensive than the dinner menu that was placed in our hands at 11:30am. He enjoyed his steak but would have been happy with the ribeye sandwich for less than half the price. The lunch menu was simply placed on the table with the desserts showing while the dinner menu was given to us and had a number of items described.

My wife and I have eaten there at least five or six times at this point and have enjoyed every meal we have had there. Is it the best seafood I have ever eaten? No. I grew up on Pensacola Beach where the seafood was swimming an hour before I ate it, so there is that.

However. The seafood here is good and we have had a few different menu items each time. Here are a few items we really liked there.

Florida Stone Crab Claws
Baja Cocktail Shrimp
Florida Bay Chowder
Baked Crab Stuffed Lobster
Beach & Sea Lobster Bake

The atmosphere is really nice and the outside bar area is where we tend to sit for dinner, lunch or just for drinks and starters. We are heading there in a little while actually to finish out the weekend.
