I have the Blackberry Curve. I can't live without it. Besides emails, I use it for browsing - I can even do Dis on my blackberry. It is also a pda (so I don't need to take my calendar etc with me). It works for me because I have a lot of waiting time (my daughter's activities mostly) and I can get my work and personal business done wherever I am stuck waiting.
One of the other features that came in handy was gps. I didn't have to buy a gps unit, and can pay for the service a month at a time ie. I have it set up and get billed for it only when we're travelling. I'm still finding things that I like about it -- it's a steep learning curve.
Sorry, I don't know much about the Storm. I chose not to get the World Phone because the price was pretty high (about $300 more than mine, but I got mine for $50 with a 3 year contract) and because I mostly travel only in the US and Canada - we'll do disposable phones if we go anywhere else. Also, I did want to have the camera even though I thought I wouldn't use it much. I was wrong - Whenever somebody does anything completely unbelievable, I snap a picture and send it right to facebook! Ahaha!
My brother also has the curve -- his office provides one to each of their employees. the new guys are getting the Blackberry Bold, not the Storm. Not sure why, but the info provided by the pp may be the reason.
