The bigger the upgrade the bigger the deal?

This is my first "code watch" for a trip so pardon all my n00bish questions. :) if a public code comes out, we're hoping to use it to upgrade. I was wondering if any prior history had shown a case of the more you are willing to upgrade, the greater the deal Disney is willing to give you?

For example, right now we're booked for 8 nights at Pop, Standard Room. From the looks of the amounts that people are giving that they saved, it's looking like if a code is released we'd be able to stay at a mod standard room for about the same rate as we are paying now, maybe a little bit more. Some people have said that the discount they're getting is 20%, but many posts are from people moving up just one category or moving pretty much laterally (staying at the same resort, one resort to another in the same category, or possibly from standard to water view). has anyone seen in the past that if you are willing to jump up two categories, and effectively pay significantly more than you had even before the discount, the savings increase . . . say we were willing to go from Pop to AKL, that we might be offered 25% off of an AKL room? Something still more than the switch to a mod, of course, but still a very good value?
