Day 3 - Sunday Morning, July 7.

Today we got to sleep in until 8:00 AM. I’m always the first one up, so I take a quick shower and then wake the wife and kids up before heading down to grab everyone a continental breakfast. I highly recommend the Marriott Fairfield Inn Chain of motels, I was able to secure our reservations on the Internet and our rate has been $59 per night for a Two Double Bed room with continental breakfast. We’re on the road by 9:30 and we only have about 270 miles to go today, so we should be in Orlando by mid-afternoon. We take about a 45 minute lunch break about 90 miles out side of Orlando and still make it in to the Fairfield Inn at Lake Buena Vista by 3:00 PM. Once again we head straight for the Pool and hot tub. We call my wife’s brother around 6:30 (they have already checked into All Star Music a day prior and went to Typhoon Lagoon today). We make plans to meet them for dinner at 7:00. 7:30 comes and goes and still no sign of them and we for some reason we get a strange message when we try to call them on their cell phone. We find out later they came in the back door to the motel and we were waiting in the front. After dinner we hit the pool and hot tub once more and we even manage to get in bed by 11:00 pm. Amazingly we all fall asleep and get a good nights rest.

Finally made it to WDW! Can't wait to read about the rest of the trip...

Once again I see similarities in our families........:)

Neither Rain, Gators, Near-Death experience will stop the determined man from reaching his hot tub!

Not knowing the geography of the US (Im a New Zealander!) Ive been tracking your trip using Mapquest! Im really impressed with the distance you drove!

So you see its not only a trip report but a geography lesson to boot! Look forward to reading the rest!

We thought long and hard about flying, but in the end we decided that we could spend and extra week on vacation for what it would have cost 6 people to fly. I've been going on driving vacations since I was little and we've been doing the same with our kids. So the drive wasn't bad at all. At first the kids played with their game boys and then they just started looking out the window and listend to their music. They actually surprised me and didn't sleep much at all during the trip.

I guess half the fun is just getting there. Much more fun than taking the plane! :)

You've answered my question regarding your stay in Tallahassee. Off to read your next installment... :D

Glad to see that you finally arrived in WDW!!!YIppEE.....
