the best thing you brought at disneyland

Well, I think my favorite things that I have purchased are:
This tiny little smoked glass figurine of Mickey on a little round mirror.
a tiny little glass tinkerbell bell.
My Mickey Mouse Watch
Jack Skellington Flip flops
my tinkerbell pin that switches on it looks like its glowing
my Evil Queen t-shirt
the womens Jack Sparrow sweatshirt( the pink one in the Pirates store , I forget the name, it was so expensive but it is so cute)
We have bought so much stuff at DL.
Just the 2 of us and we easily clear 100- every time we go,
and sometimes that is twice a week.
oh yeah sure you save money when you get an AP, suuuuurrrrreeee:rotfl2:
This is just a small sample of my shopping list, to see the full list, it is posted in the office:rotfl2:

Hands down the best thing that I have ever bought at DL was actually in DCA. It is this little wand that has a soft ball thing at the end that lights up. It changes colors and rythms(sp). We bought it for our DD who was 1.5 at the time. Four years later, that thing is still going strong. I've never even had to replace the batteries and both of my kids play with it A LOT.

My favorite purchase was my Disneyland tote...it is white and blue striped and perfect for the summer.

My DD's favorite was some packs of the Collector's Packs Mini figure series...
I don't know why we've never seen these before, but she plays with them ever since we've opened them. They were expensive, $5 for a pack of 3, but she got mini figures like Woody, Cinderella, the witch with the poison apple from Snow White, a mini Disney Cruise boat, an Epcot ball, etc.
very cute!

My DS did not get to go on this trip, so I bought him home a box of the Mickey Coconut heads and he is SOOO enjoying them!

Those are the figures I was talking about that we use for our game board pieces. The store on Main Street has a bucket you can trade them if you get doubles or want something different. DS and DH love doing this!

oh no theres something new to trade at disney? what is this? A game how much do the small figurins cost and stuff? do you have to buy the game board?
Ok sorry this is the first post ive seen about these

They are collector packs of little figurines that you can buy at most any of the stores at DL and DCA. I belive you get 5 of them in a package and they have buckets of them behind the counter at the store on Main Street and used to have one in the Star Trader store as well. If you wanted to trade the figurines for something different you just asked the CM and they would let you trade them out. We use the small figurines for our game board pieces...i.e. using these instead of the gingerbread markers in Candyland or for Monopoly.

oh wow i wonder if this is the darth vador my son has
i never thought of that but cool we will have to look more

The best thing I bought was my Ariel tote bag that I got back in 2002 at DL. It has since gone with me on every trip to both DL and WDW and gets used as an every day tote sometimes too. The bag is a jade green color with a full under the sea graphic featuring Ariel. It also has lots of beadwork like miniature pearls on it.

Someone asks me where I bought it at least once every trip, and it has gotten to the point where I find myself apologizing for the fact that it is old and they can't buy one for themselves!

The best thing I used to buy at DL was a new antenna topper, but now I have a car w/o an antenna. Bummer! My husband has taken over my collection for his pickup. I do like picking up a new DL photo frame to put one of our family pics in.

The worst - a (I'll use the term loosely) hamburger at the Hungry Bear Rest. This was a number of years ago, but it was the worst tasting thing that anyone could call a burger. I'm from cattle country and that was not hamburger!

We just ate there last month and I have to agree...that was not real meat in anyway shape or form. I couldn't eat the thing...

Well I just thought I'd chime in,

the best thing(s) I've bought at DL was a carmel covered apple and Chocolate covered Strawberries.

you can find them at the Candy shop right near the winne the pooh ride.

For me, it's my stuffed Stitch doll..

And my Beauty and the Beast statue thing my parent's bought me for my 19th birthday at the parks..

I bought a scrapbook and a photo book that had "Disneyland 2008" on the cover so that I can have an album about our trip. I also bought some 2008 scrapbook paper. Thought those would be cute.

They sell scrapbook paper at Disneyland? OH MY GOD. Does anyone have pictures or examples?!?!?! My list of things to pick up while there keeps getting longer and longer. Oh god. lol

What a COOL idea to use them as game pieces!!!!!!
LOVE IT!

One of the best things we have bought is the water bottle straps for $3 so you don't have to carry your water around. Awesome! Always get a cute coffee mug and a current scrapbook album. My most fave thing is my silver necklace with my initial and a tiny crystal mickey head that hangs next to it. I wear it everyday!

Yep, they sell scrapbooks and kits at the parks. When I was there last month I got a scrapbook with the Disneyland logo popping out on the front with all of the characters (including Mr. Toad, Brer Rabbit, some pirates and a few HM ghosts) in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

One kit I got was called "Disneyland Resort" and it one sheet with the castle, another with California Screamin, and the rest with various DL symbols as the background on the paper. It also had stickers of the park logos, and the characters on some of the rides (some of them are exactly the same as the WDW kit--like Splash Mtn and the Teacups). There was also a Disneyland border (same as the WDW border I have), and one with a pic of California with Mickey & Minnie driving by.

Another I got was called "California", and that was DCA-themed, but it had some other DL themed paper inside. Some of it was two-sided, and other side of the paper had stars all over it.

The other one I got was called "Where Magic Lives", and that some really cool Sorcerer Mickey (my favorite) themed paper and stickers with DL borders and stickers. Really nice.

You can also get a book of just scrapbook paper, and that's themed to all the lands at DL and DCA. I got that one too.

They have some really nice scrapbooking stuff!

Best thing ... a Jungle Book "Kaa" snake ceramic figurine, purchased in the 1960's for $1 (price tag still on it) .. currently worth over $100.

Not that it is for sale!

My favorite thing that I bought..not the memories I came away with or the pictures..is this large sculpture by Charles Boyer of the Self Portrait. It's been duplicated many times, but the one I have is about 15 inches high and large with great detail. I couldn't afford it at the time, but am so glad I bought it. That said..my big regret in the purchases department was when the Partners statue first came out, they had a great duplicate..much nicer than the ones now. I ended up with a brass bas relief tray which cost less, but I still wish I would have sprung for the full sculpture. If they have a new partners sculpture in DCA as rumored, with young Walt, I will buy that for sure.
