My brother in law is anti-Disney. He doesn't understand how a grown woman (me) can like it so much and want to go there on vacation more than once. It is beyond his comprehension that DH (his brother) and I might want to even go there without our children.

Then he got married and had kids. His eldest is almost 4. Yesterday he told me that the only place she wants to go is WDW! I laughed so hard I almost fell off the couch. Although he tried to stop it -- both his kids love Disney movies, Disney characters etc.

He tried to tell me that we should do a swap next year. I would take his oldest to WDW with my youngest (they are very close -- best friends) and he would take my oldest on a ski trip. I told him I wouldn't have a problem, but he would miss out on seeing his daughter's face when she first see's the castle.

Ha Ha Ha -- both his kids love Disney! We've converted more!

LOL, that is great, Beth. Has he been there before? If not, maybe one trip would 'convert' him also.

when we first announced that our wedding was going to be at wdw, a lot of our friends and family thought we were crazy.

the ones who came, though, ended up being disney converts, and almost 1 year and a 1/2 later people are still talking about our wedding and how great it was. :teeth:

That is an inspirational story! My brother doesn't like the music of Sir Elton John  (I know, hard to believe), and I've always vowed that his kids (when and if he has any) will get Elton CDs for X-mases and birthdays.
:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

MY BIL and sister are the same way. :( They have 4 kids. Their kids have begged to go. "So what?" is their reaction. They take them to the beach every year. WHile that is good, I just can't believe that they wouldn't take the kids to Disney. My parents and I took 2 of them in 2001 (you may remember the pics that Dan posted) Those 2 kids STILL talk about that trip!! (And want to go back) I'm hoping to take another one soon. She is older and we'll have to hurry because she's quickly thinking Disney and magical fun is  . I am sorry that my sister missed seeing and hearing her kids excitement about WDW. I wouldn't have missed that for ANYTHING!

Hee, hee, hee, Beth. Sounds like your brother is converting :)
