Can anyone recommend a good spot to take some unobscured pictures of the Parades.

I have stood on main street station - looking down and on kerbside - looking up.

This time I would like a level spot but not behind people if I can find one :flower3:

In front of Bella Notte in Fantasyland or opposite of it was a good spot for parade pics this summer, there was no pushing and no people getting in front of the camera because most people line up on Main Street :thumbsup2 . It was also mentioned before that the seating area of Le theatre du chateau was a good spot. I don`t know though if the Halloween parade is taking the same route as the Princess parade. :confused3

Might be a daft Q but in terms of where to watch from, I can't work out where's best.
I've also read conflicting info on sites about the start of parades. Some say start in Fantasyland and finish on Main Street but others say vice-versa.
Can anyone confirm which way it goes? TY!

That's one of our favourite spots also :goodvibes

There is a good spot for pictures near Princess stage. Take a look at this picture. You will get the idea:

In April I found a wonderful spot standing next to the right tower in that photo, noone pushing and you see everything coming at you, perfect for photos, zoomed or not.

Here's an example of the type of photo you can take from that point

I've always found my best pics from the corner of Main ST just before it passes City Hall. I tried to get some good pics when I sat in the Theatre but I still feel that it was worth the leg-ache to get the better shots on Main st itself. I had to stake out my spot early though and defend my position against a few invaders but it was worth it when I saw the pictures :rotfl: :lmao:

Was gonna suggest this one myself - we were here last time we went, right by the right hand "turret" with noone either in front or behind us:

Here we are by the turret:

Here's our view of the parade

PS how do you post pictures so they're big sized on here and not just thumbnails?

The daytime parade (Disney Princess Parade, Disney Villain Parade, or The Christmas Parade) always goes from It's a Small World in Fantasyland to Town Square in Main Street.

When Disney's Fantillusion is running, though, I think it switches. Fantillusion runs from Fantasyland to Town Square (they reversed it last year, so that people now follow it and leave the park promtly), whilst the daytime parade then goes the opposite way, to make it easier for the performers.

Yeah, that is a great spot. Works nicely with the parade curving towards you aswell.

Thanks everyone.

Now all I have to do is to find an on-line detailed map of the park and plot my spots ready.

Any suggestions as to where I can download one from ?
