The Best Outlet Mall for Pins

I'm coming up to my 6th trip to Disney!!! YAY. My DD and me are really into pin trading now and I recent read (but of course can't remember where), that one of these warehouses has great prices and is close to WDW. I have some from ebay but want to purchase some good ones to keep or trade off site this trip.
I was hoping you could share you experiences and let me know:

1. Which is best?
2. Where am I likely to get some great pins cheap?
3. Which is closest (we'll be going by cab).

• Character Warehouse – Orlando Premium Outlet (Vineland Ave, Suite #1252)
• Disney Character Outlet (Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, Suite 13)
• Theme Park Connection (2160 Premier Row, Orlando, FL 32809)

Someone recently reported (and confirmed) that the store on International Drive is temporarily closing for a 3-month refurb, so that one is out if you're visiting any time soon.

I haven't been to the one of Vineland in a loooong time, but I don't remember them having much when I visited last. BUT, the same person who confirmed the IDrive store closing mentioned that the Vineland store recently underwent a refurb of its own and now has more stock. If the IDrive store is still closed when I visit in September, Vineland will be the one I'm hit up.

If think the Disney Character Outlet is the one I'm thinking of, it's right in front of the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa and it isn't really a Disney outlet store. At least, it didn't measure up to the Character Warehouses.

I have never visited Theme Park Connection, so I have no opinion of their store.

The one in the premium outlets is still open. Just went to it yesterday and they were saying they would be closing. Got some .99 pins but went back and they had nothing. If you are looking for pins to trade I would go on eBay and purchase them in lots

Do you live near a local Disney Outlet? They usually carry park merchandise.

I have been there many many times, think of it as a warehouse, many broken items ( many just need some TLC and some glue ) but unique. If you can get there do go. They also have a wall with corkboard with tons of pins. Take a look at their website to get a feel for the place. You could be in that warehouse for quite a while.

It would probably be cheaper to rent a car for the day than a cab there and back.

I was just there last week. The shop on iDrive is not open yet and the cast members at the one on Vineland did not know the re-opening date. FWIW - the Vineland shop was PACKED! The cast members mentioned that it has been that way since the iDrive store closed, which makes sense.

Another thing we discovered on this trip is that Fun Finds in DTD no longer has the 5 for $20 wall.

How far is the Vineland location from disney world?

Very close. If you exit the property by Downtown Disney, take a right and Vineland will be on your left (second left, I think) - there's a big sign. Follow Vineland for a bit and the mall will be on your right. Get there early. We found that getting there before 11 removed much of the parking hassle that so many (rightfully) complain about.

A new store in Winter Garden has opened just minutes from Walt Disney World called TD Collectibles, they are at 1218 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Suite #112 Winter Garden FL 34787 407-347-0670.
