Our next trip will be our first during the Christmas season and we plan to take advantage of it by allowing a whole day just to visit the different resorts and take in their holiday mood. Now your help is need. We will want to plan two meals for this day in different resorts. Either a big breakfast and an early dinner or a early lunch and late dinner. I know we are planning early but all these chirstmas reports are getting me excited. We have a mature 10 year old that does well at any type resturant. We like nice places and good but simple food. What do you all think about this one?

Yes, do go the Christmas season. You will love the decorations!

One suggestion is to visit the MK resorts in the morning and then visit the Epcot resorts in the evening. One possibility is to have breakfast or early lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe which looks out to the lobby of WL. You can see the beautiful tree from your table. You may want to ask for a "quiet" section if you do not want to participate in the activities there. Then you can take a boat from WL to CR and then hop on the monorails from there to visit all the monorail resorts.

In the evening, dine at any of the Epcot resorts. We've only dined at Beaches and Cream which we like very much. You can take the Friendship boat at the Epcot resorts which will let you visit BC, YC, BWI, Swan and Dolphin. The boat ride is very relaxing and scenic. The Boardwalk is alot of fun and very pretty at night.

We enjoy Ohana in the evening. You can view the MK fireworks from most tables and they play the soundtrack (what people in the MK are hearing) as well. :)

Chef Mickeys (Contemporary) or Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge) for breakfast.

Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary) for dinner.

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. Wonderful character breakfast with Goofy Pluto Chip and Dale.

I'd vote for a late breakfast and an early dinner... we've never had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, but I'd like to try it, and the Christmas decorations at the GF are so beautiful. We really enjoy breakfast and dinner at Boma, and Cape May is my most favorite dinner buffet.

A day of touring WDW Resort Christmas decorations sounds perfect :D ! I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you choose to eat.

Well, I would do 1900 Park Faire for breakfast, and Cape May Cafe for dinner, since you want different resorts, otherwise, I would stay the same for breakfast, but eat dinner at Narcoosee's.

Just to get my 2 cents in:

Don't have a specific opinion on the breakfast end, and you don't mention where you are staying, but on a tour of the resorts you'd certainly want to see all the monorail resorts. I'd suggest planning your monorail ride to start late in the afternoon, and see the Poly and the GF before ending up at CR, eating the California Grill for dinner during the fireworks at MK, if you can time it right!

The view is spectacular, and in December dusk will be early. I have a picture of "Sunset over Disney", taken from the CG with the sun glaring out over the lake, which is my desktop wallpaper for my PC at work. I'll try to come back and post it.

The decorations at GF in particular are amazing at Christmas time. They build a Gingerbread house in the lobby, and the tree is huge - I think maybe bigger than the one at WL, which is also huge. WL is also not to be missed, and has wonderfully themed decor at Xmas. And Artist Point has incredible desserts!

Have a great time planning - I don't blame you for starting early!

I love all the great advice. We want to do California Grill and Ohana's both this trip so working one of those in this day would be great. A character breakfast sounds wonderful too. Oh this is going to be hard waiting. Thanks and keep those ideas comming.

If you don't want a character breakfast, I would highly recommend Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. The Lodge is decorated beautifully for Christmas, with the fire roaring in the fireplace, and the tree is just spectacular.

Whispering Canyon's breakfast foods were delicious, and the restaurant was a hoot! Just ask for some ketchup with those eggs!
