....or a bag to use as a "diaper bag". Maybe some sort of backpack??? Will we need a 2 bags...one for the "normal" park stuff and one for the "baby" stuff??? Or can we fit it all in one??? AAAAHHHHH  I don't know what to do??

Just hoping to hear others' experiences.

We had the same problem. So we just took one backpack. Then we got a ziploc storage bag and put all the stuff for diaper changes in it. Then we put all the stuff for meals in another storage bag and put them both in the backpack. That way, we just pulled out whatever storage bag we needed and were good to go. There was still enough room in the backpack for other things we needed and ours had a sidepocket that would hold the baby's bottle and pacifier.

This worked really well for us and we only had one bag to keep up with.

For twins, I'd recommend the Land's End Diaper Backpack. It is enormous and will probably fit everything you will need. I got it a long time ago when I had an infant and 2 year old and it stored diapers for both, clothes, cups and bottles etc with room to spare!

I've seen the messenger-style diaper bags at Babies R Us. That might do the trick. We alway bring a backpack with us to Disney, but during our trip to England/Ireland this Spring, I had a messenger bag and loved it! I'm considering getting that style of diaper bag for when our baby is born...

We use or video camera bag (with cameras in it!) We pack a few diapers, wipes, a few babyfood, a change of clothes for the baby usually. If you are staying onsite and not planning a commando day you don't really need that much in the parks.

I agree with the less is better in the parks idea. I have 4 kids and have traveled numerous times with an infant to the parks. I have never traveled with twins, so that may be an added complication. With a youing infant I always used a normal diaper bag (from Eddie Bauer...great bag used for all 4 kids!), but my fav bag in the parks I used this past trip with dd 18 months. It is a denim tote bag purchased at Walmart for like $4. It was small, so I could not over pack. Plus, the security was SO much easier at the park entrances with no zippers or pouches to check...just a quick peak and we were off. We always stay on site and take breaks mid day, so we do not need that many things.

I 2nd the poster who mentioned ziplocs. It makes it so much neater and organized. Being able to see in them is a great help as well. Are you bringing a stroller? If so I would use the storage part of the stroller to make it easier on yourself.

We like bringing two bags. One (Skip Hop Duo, since we only had one child at the time) with diapers, snacks, extra clothes - stuff that we could lose and it wouldn't ruin our vacation. That bag we left on our stroller for all of the rides and shows. The second, smaller bag (LE Little Tripper, fwiw) had my wallet, our park tickets, our camera, and anything else important that we couldn't bear to lose. That bag came on all of the rides with us.

This way, we weren't toting a huge bag on every ride, but also didn't worry about what we had left behind on our stroller.

Hmmmm, I might have to consider the 2 bag approach. I was just planning on bringing one bag for everything but the 2 bag thing does make some sense!

That's good to hear because that's my plan...I have a LE diaper backpack for the baby stuff (plus a change of clothes for DD6) that will hang on the umbrella stroller and an Overland Equipment Placer for the important stuff that I don't want to lose. I plan to keep the Placer bag on at all times since it can be worn across the body.

We have the messenger style Skip Hop and it is perfect. It fits all our stuff for everyone. I like that I can strap it to the back of the stroller and still have the basket to stash stuff like water bottles and ponchos. It is particularly useful in the airport where we put the carry on in the basket.

Wow, such great ideas!!!!!!!! :cool1: Where is the messendger style Skip Hop sold??

I bought mine on Ebay but you can order them through the skiphop.com website. Also if you google the name (SkipHop Dash) you will find many websites that sell it. Locally the USA baby store sold them. I believe the skiphop website allows you to search for local retailers. HTH!

I loved this feature on the Skiphop. So handy to attach it to the stroller and have hands free. Just type it in Google and you will get several online retailers.

I go with the two bag approach like a previous poster - Lands End backpack with stuff that we could lose that stays in the stroller when we go on rides, and I wear a fanny pack with essentials. I know the fanny packs aren't the coolest thing in the world, but man is it practical! :teeth:

We are are a 2 bag family too. We have a Land's End backpack that we leave in stroller. and we have a fanny camera/camcorder bag that we keep tickets, wallet, keys, camera in. Have fun!

I also agree with the Lands End Diaper backpack. I bought it when I found out we were expecting another baby and they were 12 months apart.

I have been using it for over a year now and it still hold up great. I have been very happy with it.

On our trip in August, we used a multi-compartment backpack. One pocket had diaper bag stuff, one had older kids' money and camera, and the third, and biggest, had bottles of water, ponchos, and misc. other stuff. One bag allowed DH and I to swap off carrying it or the baby when we were in line for rides when we couldn't have the stroller.

Baby sherpa!! It has a built in cooler - great bag but kinda big..... but if you need to have lots of stuff, then that is it! I have 3 girls (5,3,1) so diaper bag is very important. But when we are in the parks, just pretty much put diapers/change of clothes in ziploc and leave it in the stroller.
