The beginning stages of addiction

I just went on my very first cruise ever this month. My sister, nephew and I went on one of the Alaska cruises. LOVED IT!!! In almost every picture taken we have noticed that my nephew's smile is huge and you can tell he is having the time of his life. The only unhappy picture was when he found out he missed the Dreams show. So sad...but had he checked in when he was supposed to he wouldn't have missed it. DCL makes it very easy to give the kids a little freedom and not worry. It was a great opportunity for him to test out his responsibility level.(or for us to test it)

So to the title of my post...We both put a placeholder deposit down for rooms that we figured we would use in 2017. However since then I found the Vancouver to San Diego cruise. I live in the Seattle area so it just makes sense. Here's how I know the addiction is starting...I booked the cruise knowing that the dates are 8/22-8/26. I am a teacher and don't know the calendar for 2017 and my cruise could very easily be over days I am required to be in workshops lol. I'm just going to pray until we see the new calendar that it works out. lol

I know it's silly, but I figured here was a safe place to admit my new growing addiction of DCL.

• look at the credit card bill post cruise
• look at what the same cruise would cost with a different cruise line pre-cruise
• One must learn to resist snorting the pixie dust...

We came back from Northern Europe and immediately signed up for the Dec 24 Galveston cruise. We live in Texas and this was a no brainer as well. It will be a surprise for the kids. We're going to tell them we're going to the water park and then pull up to the pier. I can't wait to see their faces!
