The Battle Within

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all..

"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

This really struck me! It is so true, we feed either the negative or the postive thoughts in our lives.
We can choose to see the positive in each situation, or we can dwell on the negative. It is a choice, and so we choose our own destiny by how we choose to think.

Thank y'all.

I have often had to remind myself of those words. I used to be one that held a grudge forever. Before I realized it was me that suffered not the person I was mad at. Ending an arguement with your mate by snuggling at night is way better than laying on opposite ends of the bed losing sleep and emotional energy.
