The Bad Poet's Birthday

My sweet mother dearest, who was lovely and fair,
had 3 charming daughters, but she didn't stop there.
On Friday the 13th, in the middle of June,
She was "blessed" with a son that you know as the "Toon".

My three older sisters, never bad or berated,
Left my teachers all asking, "Are you sure you're related?"
I've turned out okay (or at least I think so).
But my journey's not done, many bad poems to go.

So like the old man using bait for a fish,
I write this bad poem as a lure for my wish.
A self serving thread to induce you to write
A poem to the Bad Poet that will delight.

If you're not good at rhyming, a wish would be nice,
Or bending your "elbow" in a "toast" should suffice.
In closing, a wish to you all on this day,
May you live long and prosper, and of course, Hanname!

Of course your poem was bad, ergh, good enough! I didn't see yours until after I finished mine! Thank you. And you did so before my unapoligetically self serving thread. I am touched. Again, to quote Dr. Tomorrow:

"I think it was Shakespeare - or maybe it was Stephen Hawking - who said it best, "No man rises so high as he who stoops low enough to inspire bad poetry".

Here's a song
For the limey green toon
To DIS he's a boon
For his birthday I'll croon this tune

Our friend toon
Born the 13th of June
His Mom's bad boy
DIS pride and joy
Though he's sometimes a loon,
Happy birthday to
Our pal Toon!

If I had a mig I'd refill it and soon
I'd bend my elbow and toast to the toon
his poems stink so bad they could clear a full room
make grown men cry and dogs howl at the moon

If I had a mig I'd give it away
to toon on this his special day
I'd borrow some points oh the joy I would bring
as i send him to chill at sasatoga speings

But I've no mig to refill as of yet
that Im all borrowed out is likely a safe bet
So I'll bend my elbow and dream of a day
when there'll be migs aplenty on every birthday

Hoisting a Mig to our friend Toon,
Celebrating his birth , and none too soon.
We invoke the spiirt of Hanname
To bring him good luck on his birthday

Sometimes it's hard to come up with a rhyme.
Deciding on haiku or hannamime.
Life's too short to waste a minute.
So Kungaloosh with an extra shot in it.

Forty seven is none too young.
Tho young enough to still have fun.
