That's funny, I thought all these things about Jake BEFORE the show started..but oddly enough, now that I am watching I don't mind him too much...maybe it's the Vienna thing that's distracting me.
On the non-spoiler thread I put a comment on about how if this was grade school we would all be afraid of Ali the bully..I guess I'm not the only one who sees it like that...she had her minion Jesse talk to Jake Monday and she got the boot for her troubles...it will be interesting to see if Ali actually stands up for herself instead of sending in her minions...
My husband hates Vienna..he can't stand her hair and her complexion...boys are so annoying, I like her, but I agree her and Jake are a match made for the tabloids..one week after the final rose we will be reading about their break up just like everyone else before them..too bad, he really seems serious..

Jake does seem serious about finding a true love wife, but Vienna? Seriously? If he did/does choose her, did he really expect a lifelong wife and family life from her?
I've thought it from the start, I think he got a dud group of girls overall. Not that they're not pretty, smart, etc. etc. Just not a true love wife match for him. I just don't see the romantic spark connections thing flying like in other seasons between others.
Maybe for the FIRST time EVER in Bachelor HISTORY Jake might get a re-do seasonI kind of think he deserves one, although I kind of find him a little ho-hum.

I agree aboout the Ho Hum. I fall asleep every week no matter how hard I try to stay awake. LOL

IDK - I think Jake is more interested in furthering his acting career.

The more I see of him the more I think he is there to further some kind of modeling/acting career or something.

I can't take any of this show seriously. Vienna? Like really. As if she is marriage material for him.

They are painting her in such an ugly light that it just doesn't make any sense... I'm holding out for some MAJOR dramatic twist at the end. Maybe Vienna is the last girl standing, but I don't think that's the end of the story.

I agree completely. I can't see why they are editing her so badly if she's going to end up winning. Didn't someone say he leaves and runs after Ali?

Who knows...maybe ABC will win this round and Reality Steve will be wrong!

It's interesting to think that Ali is getting the horrible edit just because it fits the story line. It makes sense, actually.

I thought this was the most interesting part of RS's column:

I’m sure you’re asking, “Who the hell are these people?” I wouldn’t expect you to know them. Well, unless you paused your TV while the credits were rolling at the end of Monday’s episode. These six individuals are listed under “Story Editors” for the show. So a “reality” show needs “story editors”. That should just about answer any possible question about how genuine this show is. Basically, these are the ones that edit the show in a way to tell the story ABC wants to show you, and not what’s really going on. Hell of a job guys. Let’s see what promo you run this week that won’t run in next weeks episode. C’mon, you can do it! Make it four weeks in a row where you lead the audience on! What are they paying your for?"

Of course, we know that even true reality has be edited into a some sort of story. Otherwise we'd be watching raw footage (a la the Big Brother 24 hr. feed ... B-O-R-I-N-G), but I DO think this show takes the "story making" to new heights (or lows).

I see it as Jake will turn out to be her defender. He will stand up to and kick out all the "mean" girls. I really don't think Vienna is getting that bad of editing. The girls that keep pestering her come off worse to me.

Jessie was on our Breakfast morning show here in Toronto this morning. She is from Oakville which is just outside of Toronto. She said her mother signed her up for the show.

She didn't say much about Vienna other then what she said to Jake, that she was always trying to up one on everything they talked about in the house about her car wrecks adn her father getting her everything. Sounds prettys spoiled to me but that was the impression we got when we saw her promo...

They asked her if she would be the next Bachelorette if asked and she said she is up for anything. Who wouldn't want 25 men after her.

So Vienna is still a mystery I guess.

I hate to be catty, but I find Viena to be very physically unattractive... I know there is more to "love" than that, but I don't see her personality making up for it....
