So the interim BCC is behind the guided tours kiosk, next to City Hall.

It's AWFUL. It's very cramped. There are only 2 nursing chairs, and a couple of aluminum chairs, in a bright and not very private area. There are only 2 changing tables, and they are in the same room as the high chairs, so if you want to feed your baby there, you may also be subjected to the smell of dirty diapers and whatever particles may be floating around! :sad2:

I overheard one of the CMs working there telling a guest that it's crowded, but "it's just like everything else at Disneyland - you have to wait your turn, just like the rides". Um, but when I wait in line for a ride, I usually enjoy the ride. Waiting in line to change a poopy diaper isn't quite as fun! I was pretty appalled that a CM would say that, because it came across rude.

The location is pretty inconvenient as well. Instead of being centrally located, you have to walk almost back to the entrance every time. I would have no problem nursing in public, but DD won't have it. In fact, the last time I was at DLR, I had to nurse her laying down on a cot in the first aid station because she wouldn't nurse with me upright! At least this time she was more accommodating. ;)

I didn't ask when the BCC will be reopened, but I really really hope it's before my next visit!

OK, and I know that my post sounds like a giant whine, but it just seems like they could make it a little bit easier for parents of babies and toddlers to tend to them comfortably, especially considering the park's main demographic!

I don't think they had add many other options for a temporary BCC. While the renovations and relocation many create inconveniences now, the renovations were needed and had to be done eventually. The new Baby Care Center reopens on April 23rd.

There are changing stations all over the parks in each restroom. So it really isn't all that inconvenient to change a child in the park.

No, it's not. But it is inconvenient to try to nurse a baby that wants to look at everyone who walks by in one spot, and then go somewhere else to change a diaper.

Think of it like a favorite ride that used to have Fastpass that doesn't anymore, temporarily. It's disappointing for the time that you are there. That's how the interim BCC feels to me, a frequent user.

That sounds tough--nursing a distractible little one is never easy. By the way, your baby in your avatar is adorable! SO cute!!
