Tuesday 16th August
You might expect to be tired after a Park day but not a Water park day, trust the Bucklands to be different.
Oh well we were on holiday I suppose.
We chilled around the pool for a couple of hours and then headed to IOA (My favourite park). I love all the themeing in the different lands and Spidey IMHO is the best ride I have ever been on.
As soon as we got into the park I headed off to get fast passed for can you guess??? Of course it had to be Spiderman!
I went back to The Croissant Moon to meet the others and to have (another family tradition) a coffee and white chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookie.
If you are going I recommend them as they are, as Miffy would say, Yumtastic.
We then went Anti-clockwise around the park as our fast passes were for 4.10 to 5.10 and we figured it would be about the right time when we got there and Callum loves The Cat in The Hat which was our first ride followed by one fish two fish and Caro-seuss-el all with no wait over 5 Mins (result or what)
Callum bought some Dr. Suess books and we bought some more for him for Christmas (he played the get it for me for Christmas card again later in the holiday)
We had lunch at Circus McGurkus and shared 2 pizzas between us.
The longest wait we had was 30 Mins for Duelling Dragons which Theresa and I did while the kids chilled out in the shade.
Theresa and the kids did The Flying Unicorn twice as there was no queue and I got a few photos.
Next we got ice creams as it was $%£! hot again.
It was now time for the spidey fast pass and we where really glad we had them as it was a 10 min wait even with them and the line time was posted as an hour and a half.
We left the park at about 5 and headed of to Pre-book our early baggage check as I had now checked the paperwork and knew we had to go to LBV factory outlets and not the Crossroads ( I hang my head in shame and I should be stripped of my title as a Diser for not having researched that first).
Anyway we get there and they had closed at 5.30.
Now normally this would have meant I was I trouble for wasting precious holiday time but I got off as DW and DD found the character outlet store sold ( I know you all know by now) Scrapbooking stuff. So there went another $25.
After this their eyes glazed over and they were well and truly in scrapbooking mode so we headed down to our old favourite Walmart (the one near Medieval Times on the 192).
Yes they bought more scrapbooking stuff but I must admit Callum and I added to the $200 bill with fishing gear, DVDs etc.
Its surprising how shopping can build up your appetite.
We headed back towards the hotel but stopped off for dinner at The IHOP. Now I cannot praise this enough - the food was delicious.
Callum and I had a steak. Mine came with mushrooms, onions and mashed potatoes and soup for starters and Callum had his plain with just fries.
Maddie and Theresa had good old fish and chips which came with some of the best garlic bread we have ever had.
The food was great (we gave it 9 ½ / 10) the service was excellent and the bill only came to $54
( I should mention we had a 20% off voucher from one of the many coupon books that you find throughout the area, Use them you will save a fortune)
We left a good tip and headed home a very contented family.
