Ok, I have to admit, I'm sucked into it. Even my dh is getting caught up in VMK, and he doesn't even play. We did the Christmas quest last night. After leaving the Bear Hall, we passed by the candy shop. DH asks if we're buying penny presses today...
So far we've bought countless boxes of gobstoppers since summer. Not to mention all the Buzz Lightyear pictures that grace our entertainment center. Then there's all the awesome Tinker Bell stuff that I find while cutting through the stores. Oh yeah and the pins too. (There have been some really great Christmas pins that have put a dent in the pocket) Then there's the pineapple dole whips that just call out to us!
We use to go to MK only once in a blue moon. Starwarskid thought he was too "old" for MK. Now he begs and pleads to go there instead of any other park. He'll even suggest he gets a hair cut at Main St. Barber shop instead of anywhere else. Just so he can get to MK. In addition, he's invited any friend or relative we have with passes to spend the day with us there.
Besides having lots of cool stuff that makes us the envy of all in the kingdom, our toddler has really benefited from VMK. He has become best of friends with Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, and the Incredibles. At 19 months old, he can name most of the Disney characters he sees. Heck, he thinks the entire World is his! With his broad smile and hand waving hello, he's got cast members and guests just wrapped around his finger.
I guess as we approach the New Year, I'll have to figure more $'s in the budget for Disney purchases. Who knows what great "stuff" VMK will offer at the parks in the new year! All I know, is I'll be there, because they've (VMK) got me sucked in.
