Has anyone had or attended a wedding reception at the Attic? I was looking for as much info as I can get on the location. For example: Can they serve a sit down or just buffet? Does anyone have pictures? Any help would be appreciated.

It is just buffet. I have never been there but hear it is beautiful. FantasiaSam had her wedding shower there, perhaps she can share some piccies?

Umm give me a little time to upload them sweetie - it was really good I have to say. We had a buffet which was scrummy and this was served out on the balcony and a hosted bar. There was about 20 of us for the shower itself and then the men came and joined us for drinks at the end.

It was really comfortable and roomy - I loved it and would certainly recommend a wedding buffet there for 40 or less guests.

Thank you Sam. That is a big help. I really like it!!! I am just not sure if I want a buffet. I was looking forward to a sit down. But for a great location, maybe I could budge a little.

Tinkerbell053 - What are your reservations about a buffet? We had our reception at Atlantic Dance Hall, which is also a buffet only venue. We all, (especially my parents) had major reservatons about having a buffet at the wedding (the food wouldnt be good, it wouldnt be classy enough, etc), but for the venue, we decided it was worth it. And the buffet was wonderful! Everyone loved it, and the food was fantastic. You won't be disapointed if you pick a buffet only venue. You can PM if you want more info on my menu, etc

I have to say that since having that buffet and infact other buffets in the States I kinda wish we'd gone down this route for our reception.

In the UK some people will serve a buffet meal as the "wedding breakfast" because it is more cost effective but I have to admit that any that I have been to that do serve buffet food I have never found it to be even the standard of any buffet that I have had the pleasure to eat in the US.

I would tend to be at wedding receptions that had all the ceremony guests attend the wedding breakfast sit down silver serve or plated serve menu at lunchtime and then say about 7-8ish those guests that were only invited to the "evening do" would arrive and then a more casual "buffet" would be served in the evening for all guests.

So I guess I thought that having a sit down meal for our Disney wedding would be more professional and elegant but in terms of difference in food probably I'd say no different.

Now I may pay a little extra to get a server to plate some buffet items for Paul and I but yup if and when we go with the Vow Renewal if there's enough of us for a custom then buffet it is for us :)

You don't have to pay any extra for a waiter for you and DH Sam, it's automatically included. It was fun walking along and pointing at what I would like!

Our buffet was really beautiful and elegant, and the food was excellent. we were thrilled.

Oh how cool Kami LOL now I really want that VR so I can choose lots of scrummy things for the buffet !!

I won't be able to wait 10 years though I may have to have a WDW party for my 40th Birthday Party ;)

Thank for the advice guys. I think df and me have decided that for the "right location" we will settle for a buffet. We were just set on having a plated meal.
