The Apple Ipod

Do you have one? What do you think about it? Do you plan on getting one? I have one and love it. It's awesome to be able to carry your entire music collection around in one little box. I've got the 20 GB version and I've got around 2500 mp3s on it. It's fun to make playlists for certain times of the day, and even certain seasons. I just wish it was easier to hook up and use in a car, luckily in the next few months some of the car radio and car manufactuers are releasing cool stuff to use in your car.

My husband has one and he loves it! I don't know much about how it works 'cause I've never used it. He loves it for when he goes to workout at the gym.

i have one (20GB) and i love it. it is especially great for long roadtrips.

the bad thing is that i just bouhgt a new car and this car has a cd player and no tape deck. i have bought several variations on a theme of itrip (uses radio frequencies) but the frequencies are so full here, i can't get good reception.

i would love a way to directly plug my ipod into my stereo but none of the available aftermarket stuff will work with my car. i would pay a serious amount of money to get my ipod to plug into my stereo. i'm surprised there are not more places out there that will do that for you.

I have the 20gb and I am listening to it now...I bought those cheap computer speakers from WalMart for 9.99 and plug it in to that...I love having all my music on it and I have also got some audiobooks on it too!

Can you please tell what an Ipod does, exatly? I keep hearing about these and I'm not even sure what they are. How much are these things?

it's a mp3 player that holds a HUGE amount of songs. i got mine for $250 (with an educational discount - yes you can use your educational discount on these just like you can on apple computers) at my university bookstore.

Alll riiigghhhtty then! And what's an mp3 player? I am so embarassed! Is it like a CD player? And they are just for music, like a stereo, or more like a walkman type thing?

This is what they look like. You of course need a computer to use the ipod with, just load the songs onto it and create playlists and search the ipod for the songs you want to listen too. It's a great gadget

We had this problem too. It's interesting how you don't even notice that your car doesn't have a tape deck, and then when you do notice, you think, How WEIRD that this car has no tape deck!

I've got a 20GB and I love, Love, LOVE it! I've been considering it my test run with Apple products before making a decision on whether to go back to Mac for my next computer purchase. It's looking good.

mp3 is a digital music format. you can either download mp3's off of the internet from a site like http://www.apple.com/itunes/ or you can take the cd's you already own and convert them to mp3's on your computer. then you can store the files on your ipod and take them with you wherever you go.
