The AP made me do it!

I have been bumming with work pressure lately, and waiting for spring, and have had it in my head that what I "need" is a quick WDW fix. This is even after going in January, and I have a trip planned for May.

So...I found a few days off work (Mar. 8-11, hopefully not too many spring breakers are there yet), checked on mod. resort AP rates and availability and there are rooms at CBR and POR for $104 a night, which sounds awesome, as I am usually a Poly kind of girl...and called my mom. I said, "Mom, you know what I need because of work?" She said, "Disneyworld" and then tried to give a few other suggestions, like she was just kidding about the WDW answer. I said, "Really, Disneyworld...do you want to go?"
So...we're going!!

Played with airfares/airline websites for about an hour, and got a decent deal...gonna call CRO back tomorrow and book POR!

I'm actually a little surprised that I did all that...I'm about to take a very significant pay cut and maybe I don't "need" to do this...but I am just craving that "escape" so much! And, staying at POR will make a huge difference. Plus, with an AP, I don't need to buy a park ticket for me.

This will be a quick trip...and with Mom, it'll be less thrill ride/more soaking up atmosphere, which will be just fine. I'll get to see Wishes (missed it in Jan.)...and maybe we'll do the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

OK...will stop rambling...I just thought y'all would understand. :)

We have found ourselves doing the very same thing.
If Disney was really smart they would offer us frequent flyer discounts and find all of us AP holders taking wild and spontaneous trips like that!!
That would really make me lose my mind (and many $$$) more often!
Have fun on your trip and remember you only live once!!

Oh trust me...I totally understand the AP made me do it. In 2001 I did the same thing. January, March, May...and then September and October. From Seattle. And that was before there were non-stop flights for me. :)

The AP is a tricky little thing isn't it. Its like "how can I afford NOT to go"

I completely understand! That's the only way I had 4 trips last year. I have been craving the escape but I won't have an AP again until my trip in July. Have fun!

That AP has done that to me many times! Our whole tradition of going in early December started in 1998 when we had AP's and decided to do Christmas time "just once". That "just once" has turned into 6 years in a row (7 coming up!). We threw in a trip last year the first week of October to do MNSSHP, we had never done that. If we had to buy tickets each time it wouldn't have happened.

My AP made me take 4 trips last year. The rascally thing ;)

Enjoy your trip. We all need mental health breaks sometimes and no place is better for that than WDW :)
