The antics at WCC please!

Thanks you guys. It helps to know what to expect as the surprise is really for the kids! I asked because I wanted to be sure this restaurant was truly something we would enjoy...I have read about other restaurants that have great reviews but it didn't seem like the right choice for us. Anyway the antics at WCC came as a surprise because I thought it was going to be a quiet dinner. It wasn't until I was reading Timandlesley's TR that I realized something "happens" there. So I'm sorry if my posting this thread was a bummer for some of you but I needed to know and I'm glad I asked! Atleast for me the magic isn't diminished because I know a little of what may happen.
I am now dedicating my time to hyping up the kids with "I hope you are thirsty at WCC "and they know something is up....can't wait to see their face when they bring the "BIG" drink!:rotfl: This little game has only added to the magic as they are enjoying the guessing game inmensely. Thanks !

Jumping in here b/c I just read a post that breakfasts are calmer and there are not generally antics like at dinnertime? Can anyone confirm this because we have an ADR booked for b-fast this December. My girls REALLY want to see the antics and even the pony races!
We booked breakfast because I read elsewhere that dinner was hit or miss for the food and lunch was the quietest time (which we DON'T want)! Now I am concerned that we will make a special trip for breakfast and the girls will be disappointed (and so will I)!

We just had breakfast there this past week and it was wonderful. We also had the best server there. They called her Mountain Mary or something like that but her actual name was Bridgette and she was from MA. She was wonderful. There were no pony races while we were there but plenty on antics going on. Our server was very loud and was very entertaining and yelled at us a lot. I did see other servers doing some antics also but they were more quiet about it. We really had a wonderful experience and I wrote to Disney immediately upon our return to tell them how wonderful our server was.

I had read about the antics before we went and it was the main reason we chose the restaurant. We were sure glad we did, we really had a good time and can't wait to go back in the fall!

Well , I was reading around and seem to read between the lines that some special things happen @ WCC. I have read on these threads some of what happens at 50's Prime Time, but up untill today I had no idea that "stuff" happens @ WCC as well. I have ADRs to WCC so can anyone tell me about their experience...not the food I already have read a ton about that...I mean the antics and atmosphere. Anything I should be "preped" for!
It really depends on your server. I have eaten there for breakfast and dinner and neither time did we get the "fun" servers. These are some things to ask for, Ketchup, a bigger straw, refills, chewing gum, Pepsi, the location of the bathroom. Tell the server that you have visited a park besides WDW, and go in wearing another amusement park's shirt. This is all I can think of at the moment. Go to allears.net and they have more helpful info.

When we were there in June they put my friend "in jail". My daughter was wearing a Snow White costume and I guess the dress was slippery and she slipped off her chair. My friend with us laughed, which made my daughter cry. Waitress came and asked, Snow White, why are you crying? I then simply told her oh, she slipped off her chair and she's upset because my friend is laughing at her.
Next thing I know, waitress is shouting SECURITY!! here comes a security dude, who plops this little wooden jail bars thing right on the table in front of my friend, and proceeds to write her a ticket (I think her offense was "impersonating a character - Grumpy", and for now "pushing" Snow White off her chair. Really was hysterical - not to mention, little "Snow White" who sat there beaming with joy that 'justice was served'!
We also had the ketchup bit, cell phone bit, and our waitress brought our desserts and started eating them, and then a second round of desserts came out.
Kids loved it and can't wait to go back again!

Ask your server to take a picture of your family. She/he then proceeds to tell the whole restaurant that this person wants her to take a picture of his/her family, and then invites the entire restaurant to come and get in the picture. My dd's had so much fun.

We've eaten there two times now... the first trip, my daughter had recently turned 18 - but is on the small side. The server tried her best to get her to participate in the pony races... to no avail.. Then she found out about her birthday and my daughter had to get up and ride a stick pony around by herself singing "Happy Birthday to Me" at the top of her voice. It was hysterical and we still talk about it 5 years later.

Our second trip, we got seated in a small area of about 3 tables off the main dining section and basically got ignored the whole meal. And missed the fun!

that sounds like so much fun, funner to see other that is, i would never have known about this place w/o seeing the pictures of the skillet and having to find out what WCC was. Now we have reservations for our upcoming trip! I'm excited!!

Heada Lettuce was hilarious! I made the mistake of commenting on her unusual name. Apparently, her name tag has some kind of connection to park security, because she started talking into it to get them to come arrest me!

I read in this thread that lunch was the quietest. Is that true? We were thinking on going there for lunch and would like to see the fun!

I just found out that I'm friends with a true Disney Celebrity!

Ask for more straws...also my sister told the server it was cold in the restaurant and she proceeded to bring her a HUGE wool blanket and wrap her up in it...it was hilarious as my sister is not very outgoing...lol
