It was alot of fun to write these trip reports. It made me re-live our fabulous trip. We've been home almost 2 weeks & I still can't stop thinking about it! So, here are just some observations, both good & bad that I feel are worth sharing:
Airtran: Can you say "On time"! This airline not only boarded early, we took off early. If you are not there way early, you could miss your flight. Price was right. No frills for sure, but clean & friendly. All except that last leg of our flight coming home to Buffalo. The other 3 legs were great. Would fly them again.
Tiffany Town Car: 2nd time in a row, they were right there for us at baggage claim. Took us to a convenience store, upon our request, rather than a large grocery store. We just needed beverages. It saved us time, we were so itchy to get to the resort. Picked us up exactly on schedule to take us back to airport. Extremely clean cars & huge trunks. $75 round trip with coupon & we tipped both drivers $10 each.
Caribbean Beach Resort: Check in was chaotic, but only because computers were down. Very pleasant CM took care of us (Tammy) & gave us 4-1 day hoppers to use until 2006 for our inconvenience. Darn, gotta go back now! The room was in Jamaica Bldg 45 (4519) & extremely clean. Our mousekeeper was great & made many towel animals for the kids. We did tip daily, which I am sure is appreciated. The food court was wonderful. Very good quality food, no complaints the whole week. The mugs were a good purchase for us. Definately worth it. Pools, both quiet & main, were well maintained. I think the pool/bar area would benefit from a live steel drum band, rather than the piped-in music. We still loved the atmosphere. All CM's in the gift store were very pleasant. We NEVER came across one bad attitude from any worker throughout the resort. The only reason we would not stay here again would be because we want to try out a different resort each time we visit. The transportation was good & bad. Jamaica was the first to get picked up, so it took awhile to get off property. But coming home it was the first to get dropped off, so that was good because we were tired & wanted to get to the room quick. Picky, Picky.
The parks: Disney just knows how to keep things moving & make everybody happy. We are always amazed at the technology & sheer genious. Clean, clean, clean. Not a piece of anything to be found anywhere. Characters were just the friendliest folks. How they can keep their composure in that heat is amazing. Again, the CM's were great. My kids pintrade, & some CM's act like it is the first time they have talked to a child that day. It never seems boring to them. The kids feel so special. Do I sound impressed? I walk around with my mouth hanging open the whole week.
Food: If you read my reports, we came upon some fabulous restaurants. O'Hana's, GF Cinderella's Gala Feast, 50's Prime Time, Tusker House, ESPN club, & our food court at CBR. I don't know if food just tastes so good cause we're so happy & content, but we ate well. A little pricey at times, but alot of bang for your buck & worth every penny.
Transportation: Fair. Anything involving Downtown Disney bad. I waited for a DD bus for 40 minutes. In the evening, there should be triple the busses for DD. Drivers were putting way to many passengers on their busses. Sardines. I guess, considering how many busses we took during the week, most came in a timely fashion. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give transportation a 6.
I'll get off my cloud now. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Bye for now, or atleast until another disney trip comes along.
