Cast: me (Mom) 44, DH 45, DS14 (Sparky), DD6 (Princess)
This was our marathon day at Epcot. Princess was really into doing the countries because of the kidcot stations. But, Epcot was very exciting for our group because of Mission Space & Test Track, which Princess was determined to do this time. 2 years ago, she was very small & afraid on TT. Gutsy kid my princess. So, we didn't get over to WS until well after 12:00. We did all the countries & these were our hightlites:
- seeing Belle & Beast in France, Jasmine & Alladin in Morraco, Pooh & Tigger in UK
- hearing alot of commotion behind us & turning around to see the character caravan just about to pull over next to us - lots of fun characters hopped off & we got many autographs
- seeing the living statue - I think that was the favorite thing for my kids today
- The Maelstrom - we went on twice - no FP, no wait - never expected this Viking Ship to be so much fun
- eating in France (quiche, yummy), Norway (lefsa bread, yummy), & Japan (worst food, yuk, Yakitori House, lowlite, not highlite)
- the rain cooled things off & made walking quite enjoyable
About 5:30 we decided to go out the International Gateway & have dinner at ESPN club. This had to have been the favorite thing of the whole week for DH. We got a table at the window to people watch on the boardwalk. Then all of the sudden cameras start to light up & we are about to watch the opening of the college football season show!!! They take questions from the diners & my son gets on tv! Lots of fun & very unexpected. We are now rejuvenated & decide to hop on the boat to MGM & see Fantasmic. We had never been on the boat & it was very slow & relaxing. My kids wanted it to go faster, still being in Mission Space & Test Track mode. Fantasmic was fun as always. You really need to get there more than an hour ahead of time. We got there at 7:30 & still had to move all the way to the left of the venue. An hour is a long time to sit, I feel. It was worth it thought. So we left our room at CBR at 8:45am & never returned until 10:00pm. My little princess was a real trouper. We had a great day! I feel happy all over again just writing these reports!! Tomorrow, AK & just hanging poolside.
