Today was Typhoon Lagoon. It was the only day we wanted to be at the gate before opening because we wanted chairs in the shade & knew there were few of those. After quite a long wait in line we got in & dashed for shade. It ended up we were in our chairs practically never, so it didn't matter much that we got there so early. Even when we left around 3:00, there were chairs available & could have been moved into shade. Anyway, we sat right at the wave pool & was that ever intense! I was quite a ways back & still almost got knocked over by the currant. Tons of fun. My dd6 could have stayed there all day. Then we checked out the Lazy River. That is where I plopped myself for most of the day. I did do the family rapids ride, but it was the longest line we waited in the whole week. The ride was over in seconds. Rethink that one if you plan on going. The rest of the family wanted to do some slides & I said "bye-bye" & found a launch for the Lazy River. There are like 6 different places you can get into the Lazy River & I went around atleast 3 times. Totally relaxing. I got out finally & treated myself to an ice cream sundae. In regard to food & drink....I guess it is a good deal to get the mugs for $10.00, but you have to wait in a really long line to even get the mug filled....also, my ds & I got a chicken wrap & double cheese burger....very bad wrap....I would give it a 3....his burger was pretty good, but the prices were very high....Then over the speaker system, they announced that within the 1/2 hour, a storm was approaching the area & they might close if that happened. I said, let's get out of here. I have had enough running in monsoons from Saturday & Sunday night. Well, we & hundreds of others started to leave. That was a bad bus situation. Disney should have had buses out there & more than one per resort. We waited for a very long time & packed on like sardines. It did rain, but nothing like they had predicted. We got back to the hotel & the guys took snoozes. I never seem to nap. Too nosey, I guess. That night, we had a PS for O'Hana's for 7:30. The kids had never been on the monorail, so we hopped on the bus & picked up the monorail at MK. Not before I stuck my head into MK for a look around Main Street. Love that atmosphere. Well, on to our absolutely delicious dinner at the Poly. We give it a 9+. The beautiful decor, the service, the food, the fun way they get the kids involved, but not obnoxious....just right.....my DH got the itch to stay at the Poly next time....hope we win the lottery! Then, we had promised Spanky we would go to DD. Sort of a pain to get down there, but he really loves Virgin MegaStore. I still don't understand why the really expensive resorts don't have their own buses. They share? What is up with that? Another great day. Fell into bed tired, but happy. Tomorrow, Laundry & Cinderella's Gala Feast.
